The Hand of Mimas Stage Guides

Stage 1

Trial Stage Tips

Group Enemies Before Using Flare Breath

Before you use Flare Breath, try to lure the enemies first until they line up for efficiency and to get the Full Flare time bonus.

Also remember that his ability won't defeat an enemy, even if their HP reaches 0, until you cancel it. Press the X button to cancel Flare Breath once you get the time bonus or deplete your target's health.

Use Satellite Before Charging Megaflare

You can do the Satellite and Megaflare (Wings of Light) bonus at the same time while Flare Breath is on cooldown.

Repeatedly tap Satellite's command button while Wings of Light is active to chip the enemies' health as you charge. Take note that standing still speeds up the charging process as well as perfect dodging. Release Megaflare once it reaches at least lv2 (when against normal enemies) or lv4 (when against the formidable foe).

Stage 2

Trial Stage Tips

Group Enemies Before Detonating Impulse

Group the weaker enemies together first before casting Impulse, then when the orbs turns yellow, activate the ability again to detonate them, maximizing its damage.

Perfect Dodge Attacks While Charging Megaflare

You don't have heavy damaging abilities for this stage so you'll have to rely on a max level Megaflare to quickly defeat enemies. To charge it faster, watch out for attacks and time your dodges perfectly for a Megaflare Dodge.

Don't forget to have Satellite active while charging!

Stage 3

Trial Stage Tips

Clear Normal Enemies With Gigaflare

FF16 - Gigaflare

At the start of every substage, line up the normal enemies by luring them before wiping them out with Gigaflare to receive a time bonus and so you can focus on the stronger ones.

Final Stage: Lightbound Warlord

Trial Stage Tips

Save Your Abilities for When It's Staggered

FF16 - Megaflare on Lightbound Warlord

Both of the abilities available on this stage makes you vulnerable and unable to dodge while casting. Try to save them for later when the Lightbound Warlord is staggered to avoid being interrupted and to maximize their damage.

Use Megaflare While Decreasing Its Will Gauge

Don't just rely on your normal attacks while breaking its Will gauge! Charge up your Megaflare to the max first and unleash it before going melee.

The Hand of Mimas General Tips

Trial By Light Tips

Use Satellite While Charging Megaflare

On stages where you have access to Satellite is where you should really use Megaflare as they can be used at the same time. This chips the enemies' HP (and even defeat weaker ones) while you prepare to finish them off with a shower of death.

Stay Still While Charging Megaflare

Even though you can move around while casting Megaflare, it is recommended to stay still to speed up its charge. If there's an incoming attack, time your dodge right for a Megaflare Dodge that gives a huge charge boost.
