How to Stagger Enemies

How to Stagger Enemies

Staggering enemies will give you an opportunity to deal devastating damage in Final Fantasy 16 (FF16). Read on to learn how to stagger enemies, tips to help you takedown enemies more efficiently, and the stagger damage unlockable trophy!

How to Stagger Enemies

Reduce the Enemy's Will Gauge

Completely reducing the enemy's Will Gauge will result in a takedown. The downed enemy will be unable to move nor attack until their Will Gauge fully restores to 100%. Use all of your abilities with high damage during this time as each hit landed on a fully staggered enemy has increased damage up to 150%.

How to Decrease Enemy Will Gauge

Use Abilities with High Stagger Ratings

Abilities that have high Stagger ratings, such as such as Garuda's Gouge, increases the damage multiplier on downed enemies faster. Once the multiplier is at 150% (shows as 1.5x), use a high attack rating ability like Titan's Windup to deal lots of damage.
