How to Beat Control Node

Step-by-Step Guide

Unleash Combos After It Charges at You

As soon as you see the Control Node hover up in the air while emitting electricity around its body, it will charge towards you at full speed! Precision dodge it, then use this opportunity to unleash all your abilities and combos as it will take its time to recover after landing on the ground.

Best Combos for Early to Late Game

Dodge Through Laser Beams

FF16 - Dodge Through Laser Beams

Once the Control Node shoots out its laser attack in a horizontal direction, you can dodge through the beam to avoid taking any form of damage. Take note that it'll sweep the laser around the arena extremely fast, so try to stay on full alert and anticipate the timing of it.

Run Around During Short Circuit

Multiple laser beams will be fired off in different directions during Short Circuit. Run around in a counterclockwise direction while avoiding the path of the lasers. Should you run into one, you can simply just dodge through it to negate damage.

Prevent It From Discharging Energy Cells

After reducing its HP in half, the Node will begin charging up its cells to unleash a devastating attack. Keep attacking it until you successfully deplete the purple gauge. Be sure to dash away after landing a few hits as it will also repeatedly slam the ground, sending electric shockwaves all over the area.

You can make use of Limit Break to increase your DPS, and also prevent yourself from being KO'd should your HP be reduced to 0 due to the shockwaves.
