How to Heal Your Character

Press the D-Pad to Heal

FF16 - Use D-Pad to Heal
For easy and instant healing for your character's HP, have a healing item at the ready assigned to any of the buttons on the D-Pad. Simply press on one of the D-Pad's corresponding buttons to heal Clive instantly.

How to Use Item Shortcuts

Heal from the Item Screen

FF16 - Heal from Item Menu
If ever the recovery item you need is not assigned to the D-Pad, you can still heal your character from the menu by using the item screen.

Use the Ring of Timely Healing

Accessory Details
Ring of Timely HealingRing of Timely Healing When equipped, Clive will automatically use a potion when his HP falls below a certain point. Potions will be used before high potions.

You can equip the Ring of Timely Healing in order to let Clive automatically heal himself when he is damaged enough in combat.

All Timely Accessories and Effects

Activate Limit Break

Activating Limit Break will restore your HP over time. This is a good option when you're out of potions. The Limit Break gauge is also easy to accumulate, so take advantage of this ability!

Command Torgal to Heal

When switching controls on the D-Pad, Torgal can attack enemies and support Clive. You can heal your character by commanding Torgal, but remember that this healing only affects Clive's recoverable HP.

Consumable Details
Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) - PotionPotion Instantly restores 20% of maximum HP.
Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) - High PotionHigh Potion Instantly restores 40% of maximum HP.
Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) - ElixirElixir Instantly restores all HP.
FF16 - Last ElixirLast Elixir Upon KO, automatically restores all HP, fills limit gauge, and increases attack power by 10% and defense by 30% for 60 seconds.

Potions and elixirs are the recovery items for healing HP. Potions and high potions can be upgraded to increase the amount healed. Make sure to use them wisely in combat!

Charon
You can purchase consumable items from Charon's Toll and other merchants scattered across the map. You will find that they will be selling healing items at a similar price.
