Final Fantasy 16 armor is used to give Clive a boost in HP, Defense, or both!

Armor is divided into belts and vambraces, but there is no big difference between the two.

Main Quests & Story Walkthrough

Craft Armor at the Black Hammer

Players can craft armor by speaking to Blackthorne at the Black Hammer in the Hideaway. Players must collect materials and pay a crafting fee to create any armor they so desire.

Note that some armor and equipment can only be crafted upon completion of select Side Quests and Hunt Board requests. Be sure to complete each one so as not to miss any notable gear!

Buy from Charon's Toll and Other Merchants

In between quests, be sure to check in at Charon's Toll from time to time and see if Charon has anything new to offer Clive! Additionally, make sure to talk with any merchant you come across on your travels, for they may have some armor and gear for you.

Progressing through the game will unlock powerful base armor that you can either craft or reinforce.
