Aim and Spam the Attack Button

Majority of the fight will consist of aiming and spamming the attack button at the Eikon of Fire. Aim and place the circle on the boss using the L Stick and spam the Triangle button to shoot fireballs at it.

The boss will be constantly moving around but luckily for you, the Aim Assist should help you by moving the cursor near it and it should automatically lock onto it.

Prepare to Dodge When it Charges Up in Flames

Once you see the Eikon of Fire near you and begins charging up in flames, it'll launch itself and pounce at you in a few seconds, use Dodge (R1) at the correct time to evade this attack!

Evade the Falling Debris in the Apodytery

While chasing the Eikon of Fire in the Apodytery, it will destroy some of the pillars of the castle, causing debris to fall towards you.

Evade these once they come close as these will deplete a considerable amount of damage to your health if you get hit.

Use Flames of Rebirth to Heal

If you find yourself low on HP, you can press Circle to use the Flames of Rebirth to restore all health on the Phoenix.

Prevent Damnation in Five Seconds

During the last moments of the battle, the Eikon of Fire will use Damnation to destroy the Apodytery. Aim and spam the attack button on it repeatedly to deplete its health before the five second timer ends to prevent it from destroying the castle!
