Fully Charge Upheaval When Using It Predict Enemy Attack and Counter with Raging Fists Aim to Get Time Bonuses in Stage 1-2

Fully Charge Upheaval When Using It

When you use Upheaval, make sure to fully charge it, since hitting an enemy with a fully charged Upheaval will give you a 12 second bonus!

Use it immediately at the start of the stage to deal a lot of damage to the group of enemies, then use it whenever it's off cooldown and you have an opening.

Predict Enemy Attack and Counter with Raging Fists

When you use Raging Fists as an attack is about to hit you, you'll do a counter attack with Raging Fists, which will get you a 12 second time bonus.

Predict the enemy's behavior and take advantage of the ones with slow attacks so that you can pull off the Raging Fists counter.

Aim to Get Time Bonuses in Stage 1-2

The second wave in Stage 1 consists of a bunch of weak enemies. Take the opportunity to achieve the easier bonuses such as Punish and Multi Burst during this stage.

Fully Charge your Abilities to Get a Lot of Bonus Time

Both your available abilities in this stage, Windup and Upheaval, give 12 second bonuses when they hit an enemy while fully charged.

Find an opening during enemy attacks so you can charge up your chosen ability and use them uninterrupted!

Aim to Get Lots of Time Bonuses During This Stage

Since both of the abilities in this stage are easy and straightforward to use, take your time and get all the 12 second bonuses that you can with these abilities! It's harder to get bonuses with the counter abilities in the other stages if you're not using Timely Accessories.

Hit Two or More Enemies with Earthen Fury Fully Charge Windup When Using It

Hit Two or More Enemies with Earthen Fury

When you land Earthen Fury on enemies, you'll gain a 15 second bonus if you hit two of them. At the start of the stage, cast it immediately while there are still a lot of enemies to target; since you'll be hitting four enemies, this gives you a 24 second bonus with one cast!

You'll want to use this ability as much as possible, and it shouldn't be hard to get the bonus; just try to keep two enemies alive when you're about to use the ability again.

Fully Charge Windup When Using It

Just like in the previous stages, make sure to fully charge your Windup ability when using it to get the 12 second bonus. Look for openings during enemy attacks so you can use it uninterrupted.

Use Earthen Fury Every Time You Can

Earthen Fury shouldn't be hard to hit against this boss. Use it anytime you can, since there's no advantage on holding on to it.

Find Openings Where Raging Fists Won't Get Interrupted

Raging Fists can get interrupted often during this boss fight since the Giant will attack and move around a lot.

Aim to use it when it's recovering after its attacks or when it's staggered to hit all the Raging Fist punches.

Time Your Charging Abilities When Enemies are Vulnerable

Windup and Upheaval can both be interrupted when they're charging, so don't just use them when they're off cooldown. Observe the enemy patterns and only use these abilities when the enemies are vulnerable.

Note that you can also cancel these charges (X in the default controls), which is useful when the enemies get away while you're charging.

Ring of Timely Focus is Good in this Trial

If you're willing to use Timely Accessories in this battle, use the Ring of Timely Focus.

The slowdown when you're about to get hit is best to pull off those Precision Blocks, which give you an 8 second bonus every time you do three! These precision blocks also charge up the Limit Break Gauge a lot.

Accumulate Bonuses on the Weaker Enemies

In the earlier stages where there are a lot of weak enemies, don't rush to kill them! They're easier targets to trigger your time bonuses, and you can try for the additional bonuses too if you haven't achieved them yet.
