Note: The Sword of Night is only available if you own the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

Obtained by Giving Jolan the Iris of Occultation

The Sword of Night can be obtained at the end of Jolan's questline if you give her an Iris of Occultation. There are two Irises of Occultation in the game.

How to Get the Sword of Night

Go to the Cathedral of Manus Metyr and start Ymir's quest for Jolan to acknowledge you.
2 Ring the bells in Finger Ruins of Rhia, Finger Ruins of Dheo, and Finger Ruins of Miyr as part of Ymir's questline.
3 Defeat Metyr, Mother of Fingers at the Finger Ruins of Miyr beneath the Cathedral of Manus Metyr.
4 Defeat Ymir and Jolan inside the cathedral. Reload the area and Jolan will reappear in her usual spot.
5 Give Jolan an Iris of Occultation and pick up the Sword of Night that she will drop.

How to Get an Iris of Occultation

One Iris of Occultation is dropped by an Omenkiller in the corpse-strewn sewers of the Fort of Reprimand. From the Fort of Reprimand site of grace, look west and down over the wall. Jump down into the square-shaped hole below to reach the mass grave with the Omenkiller.

The second Iris of Occultation is dropped by an Ulcerated Tree Spirit found in the northern part of the Church District's courtyard in the Shadow Keep. You will have to drain the water flooding the Church District to access this area.
