Iris of Occultation Locations and How to Use

The Iris of Occultation is an important quest item for Jolan and Queelign in the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. Learn about their locations, how to use them, and the rewards for giving Jolan and Queelign the Iris of Occultation.

Found at the Fort of Reprimand

One Iris of Occultation is dropped by an Omenkiller in the corpse-strewn sewers of the Fort of Reprimand. From the Fort of Reprimand site of grace, look west and down over the wall. Jump down into the square-shaped hole below to reach the mass grave with the Omenkiller.

Drops from an Ulcerated Tree Spirit at the Church District

The second Iris of Occultation is dropped by an Ulcerated Tree Spirit found in the northern part of the Church District's courtyard in the Shadow Keep. You will have to drain the water flooding the Church District to access this area.

The Sword of Knight is a Katana obtained by giving Jolan the Iris of Occultation as part of her questline. Of the two choices, the other being to give the Iris of Grace, giving the Iris of Occultation will continue her questline.

Iris of Occultation Effect

Item	Description
Iris of Occultation Tool	Place on the eye of another to deny light in all its forms.

The Iris of Occultation serves an important quest item, but can also serve as a consumable that grants you the effects of your equipped Great Rune similar to Rune Arcs but at the cost of all of your runes unlike the Iris of Grace.

Take note that the Iris of Occultation is non-reusable and should only be used after you have obtained all quest rewards tied to it in a New Game Plus.
