How to Use Nagakiba

Scales with Dexterity and Strength

Initially, The Nagakiba will have the same scaling grade for both attributes but it is still mainly a Dexterity-based weapon. Upgrading it past +13 will improve the stat scaling bonus with Dexterity. the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom can further increase the damage of your attacks by raising your Dexterity.

Additionally, you can change the affinity of your weapons by using different whetblades to improve the default scaling of this weapon to better scale with your other stats.

Has a Passive Blood Loss Buildup

This weapon has an excellent range with a unique attack animation for both attack types. It has wide slashing normal attacks that can be chained into a five-hit combo and long-range piercing attacks that can be used effectively against multiple enemies. It is also a good Katana for PvP and powerstancing it in your right hand can easily catch dodging players with its long reach.

Nagakiba's attacks will cause blood loss to build up. Filling up the meter will inflict Hemorrhage to an enemy, dealing damage that is relative to their HP. It has fast attacks that can easily apply status effects and adding either Poison or Frostbite can complement the passive of this weapon.

The talisman Lord of Blood's Exultation and headwear White Mask are good supplementary equipment that will increase the damage of your physical attacks when Hemorrhage is applied to either you or enemies.

Infusable with Ashes of War

This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War and has Piercing Fang as its default weapon skill. When activated it holds the weapon above the user's head horizontally before unleashing a thrusting attack that cannot be blocked.

It is a useful skill against enemies that are using shields and allows you to build up blood loss while dealing a huge amount of physical damage at the same time.
