Nagakiba Location

Dropped by Yura in Second Church of Marika During His Questline

The Nagakiba is dropped by Yura after he dies in the Second Church of Marika in Altus Plateau during his questline. He will spawn there after you help him defeat the Bloody Finger Ravenmount Assassin at the Main Academy Gate of Raya Lucaria.

How to Get the Nagakiba
1
Speak to Yura after defeating Bloody Finger Nerijus by Murkwater Cave. He will spawn slightly north of where you fought Nerijus.
2
Speak to Yura after answering his red summon sign to defeat the Bloody Finger Ravenmount Assassin. The summon sign can be found along the bridge northeast of the Main Academy Gate in Raya Lucaria.
Note: You will need an Academy Glintstone Key to interact with the magic barrier at South Raya Lucaria Gate and teleport to the Main Academy Gate.
3
Find Yura in the Second Church of Marika in Altus Plateau. You can drop there from a cliff north of the Altus Highway Junction site of grace.
4
Speak to Yura and pick up the Nagakiba right after he dies.
Note: Eleonora will invade right after, but you do not need to defeat her to keep the Nagakiba.

Yura Questline and Location

Can Be Picked Up If You Miss Yura's Questline

In case you made it to the Mountaintop of Giants without having progressed Yura's questline, the Nagakiba can still be picked up from his very first location in Limgrave under the ruined archway in Agheel Lake South, which is marked on the map in Step 1.

: Flaming StrikeAsh of War: Flaming Strike : UnsheatheAsh of War: Unsheathe

The Nagakiba's strong bleed buildup can be further taken advantage of with Blood Tax's rapid thrusts, which also provides self-heals. Blood Blade can also help you continuously build up bleed with ranged slashes.

The follow-up heavy attacks of Unsheathe and Flaming Strike deal excellent poise damage to set enemies up for critical hits. Flaming Strike also turns up the heat by infusing the Nagakiba with fire damage for extra attack power.

Bloodflame Blade Adds Fire Damage and Extra Bleed Buildup

If you infused the Nagakiba with a Standard, Keen, Heavy, or Quality affinity, then you can boost its regular attacks by using the Bloodflame Blade incantation.

Since the Nagakiba has innate bleed buildup and a moderately fast attack speed, this buffing incantation is a great way to infuse the katana with fire damage and more bleed buildup to bolster your overall attack power.
