How Strong is Rover (Havoc)?

Strengths
• Inherent Skill gives innate Havoc DMG Bonus.
• Ridiculous synergy with Dreamless' Echo Skill.
• Has two different builds and playstyles.
• Ascension Materials and Wavebands are easy to get.
Weaknesses
• Locked behind a Main Quest that requires UL 21.
• Uses different Fortes and Resonance Chain from Spectro.

Rover (Havoc) is one of the best characters to get right now since they're free and incredibly strong for a main character in a gacha game. Their builds can also be adjusted to your playstyle preference, depending if you prefer using them as an on-field Main DPS, or part of a quick swap Dreamless Echo team.

The only real downsides are that they're locked behind the Main Quest Line and that their Fortes and Resonance Chain aren't carried over if you upgrade their Spectro version. Even then, their positives heavily outshine their negatives.

3 Continuously attack enemies using the Rover's Basic Attack, making sure to avoid attacks thrown by the enemies. Once fully charged, use the Rover's Resonance Liberation and deal a lot of DMG with their kit. If available, follow up Rover's Resonance Liberation with the Dreamless Echo ability.
4 Switch to Sanhua again once the Concerto Energy has fully charged up. If you need healing, switch to Baizhi and use their healing skill for a quick heal.

Forte Priority Explanations

Forte Explanation
Basic Attack Even though Rover (Havoc) will consistently using their Basic Attacks, you will want to use the enhanced versions from their Resonance Liberation instead. You still want to upgrade this, but it is a medium priority when compared to the others.
Resonance Skill Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill gets replaced by Umbra: Lifetaker when you enter the Dark Surge state, which makes this ability only usable in Rover (Havoc)'s unenhanced state. But, you still need to use Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill to charge their Forte Gauge anyway. So, upgrading this ability should be your next priority when you fully upgraded the ones integral to Rover (Havoc)'s kit.
Forte Circuit Rover (Havoc) maximizes their damage output when they are in the Dark Surge state. Rover (Havoc)'s Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, and even Resonance Skill will be replaced by an enhanced version when entering Dark Surge. As you upgrade Rover (Havoc)'s Forte Circuit, the damage of the abilities mentioned will improve. With this, there is no doubt that this should be the highest priority to upgrade.
Resonance Liberation Rover (Havoc)'s Ultimate does not have an enhanced version. This means that they will cast the same ability in and out of the Dark Surge state. Since Rover (Havocs)'s Ultimate deals a lot of damage, you should prioritize upgrading this after Rover (Havoc)'s Forte Circuit.
Intro Skill There is nothing special about Rover (Havoc)'s Intro Skill as it only deals Havoc DMG to a target when switching in. It is also their weakest ability. So, this ability should be the last one that you need to upgrade.

Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Chain

Recommended Sequence Nodes

Why We Recommend It
S1 ★★★★☆ - Great
Cryptic Insight provides a DMG bonus of 30% to Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill. Meaning, this Sequence Node increases the damage of Wingblade and Lifetaker. A pretty straightforward upgrade to Rover (Havoc)'s kit but anything that buffs a DPS' damage is generally great!
S2 ★★★★★ - Amazing
This Sequence Node resets the cooldown of Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill whenever they enter the Dark Surge state. An amazing upgrade to Rover (Havoc)'s kit as it allows you to cast Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill before entering their enhanced state and then using the ability again!
S3 ★★☆☆☆ - Okay
This Sequence Node heals Rover (Havoc) whenever they land the full Basic Attack chain within the Dark Surge state. An okay upgrade to Rover (Havoc) but it is not that useful if you barely get hit by the enemies or have a healer in the team.
S4 ★★★★☆ - Great
This node reduces the Havoc RES of enemies by 10% for 20 seconds whenever Rover (Havoc) successfully lands their Ultimate or a Heavy Attack when their Forte Guage is full. Note that the Havoc RES reduction will persist even when you switch out of Rover (Havoc). Fully taking advantage of this upgrade, however, limits you to using a Havoc team.
S5 ★★★☆☆ - Good
This node improves Basic Attack V's damage in Rover (Havoc)'s Dark Surge state. This means that you will deal more damage when you land Rover (Havoc)'s full Basic Attack chain in their enhanced state. A great improvement if you can consistently land the last Basic Attack.
S6 ★★★★☆ - Great
Improves Rover (Havoc)'s CRIT Rate in his enhanced state by 25%, allowing you to CRIT more often.

All Sequence Node Effects

S1 Cryptic Insight
Resonance Skill DMG Bonus is increased by 30%.
S2 Warning Crescent
