Strengths | |||
---|---|---|---|
• Inherent Skill gives innate Havoc DMG Bonus. • Ridiculous synergy with Dreamless' Echo Skill. • Has two different builds and playstyles. • Ascension Materials and Wavebands are easy to get. |
|||
Weaknesses | |||
• Locked behind a Main Quest that requires UL 21. • Uses different Fortes and Resonance Chain from Spectro. |
Rover (Havoc) is one of the best characters to get right now since they're free and incredibly strong for a main character in a gacha game. Their builds can also be adjusted to your playstyle preference, depending if you prefer using them as an on-field Main DPS, or part of a quick swap Dreamless Echo team.
The only real downsides are that they're locked behind the Main Quest Line and that their Fortes and Resonance Chain aren't carried over if you upgrade their Spectro version. Even then, their positives heavily outshine their negatives.

Main Echo | Explanation |
---|---|
Dreamless
|
・One of the best Havoc echo that deals damage in a huge area. ・Damage of the Dreamless also increases when used after Rover-Havoc's Resonance Liberation which makes them a perfect pair. |
Tambourinist
|
・An early game echo alternative for Havoc-Rover, perfect for just dealing damage when needed. ・Change to Dreamless after getting a good stat Dreamless echo. |
Echo Set | Rating |
---|---|
Sun-sinking Eclipse
(5-pc) |
★★★ - Best A 5-pc Sun-sinking Eclipse is the best Havoc set for a Havoc Main-DPS like Rover-Havoc. Havoc DMG also increases after a Basic Attack or Heavy Attack which is part of their kit. Recommended Main Echo: |
Sun-sinking Eclipse
(2-pc) Lingering Tunes (2-pc) |
★★☆ - 2nd Best You can also opt for a mix of Sun-sinking Eclipse and Lingering Tunes if you have better sub-stats for those pieces. This increases both Havoc DMG and ATK - great for a Havoc DPS like Rover-Havoc. Recommended Main Echo: |

Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Support |
---|---|---|
Rover (Havoc) | Sanhua | Baizhi |
This free-to-play team composition relies on Sanhua to have Rover's Basic ATK Amplified so that they can maximize their damage when Dark Surge is active. Your third slot can be Baizhi or Shorekeeper if you have her.
Character | Explanation |
---|---|
Shorekeeper | Support Replacement Shorekeeper is the ideal support for the Rover if you have her available, as her second Inherent Skill grants the Rover a 10% Energy Regen upon casting her Resonance Liebration. This is on top of her ability to provide damage buffs to the entire team. |
Verina | Support Replacement Verina can provide damage-related buffs to her allies. She also has better healing abilities compared to Baizhi. Slot her in if you pulled her in one of the banners or chose her in the 5-Star Resonator Selector. |
1 | Sanhua starts the battle and charges the Concerto Energy until the other Resonator's icons glow up. She should try and deal as much damage as possible with her ice structures. |
---|---|
2 | Once the Rover is fully charged, you can switch to them to use their Intro Skill. Switching from Sanhua to the Rover will have their Basic ATK DMG Amplified so that they can deal more damage in their Dark Surge state. |
3 | Continuously attack enemies using the Rover's Basic Attack, making sure to avoid attacks thrown by the enemies. Once fully charged, use the Rover's Resonance Liberation and deal a lot of DMG with their kit. If available, follow up Rover's Resonance Liberation with the Dreamless Echo ability. |
4 | Switch to Sanhua again once the Concerto Energy has fully charged up. If you need healing, switch to Baizhi and use their healing skill for a quick heal. |
5 | Repeat the steps until the enemies are felled. |
Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Support |
---|---|---|
Rover (Havoc) | Danjin | Shorekeeper |
This team composition focuses on buffing the Rover's overall damage in battle using Shorekeeper and Danjin's buffs. If you also have Shorekeeper's second Inherent Skill unlocked, she will be able to apply a 10% Energy Regen gain to the Rover while her Stellarealm is active.
Shorekeeper will provide healing as well as Crit. Rate, and Crit. DMG buffs to the entire party, while Danjin's Outro Skill provides a 23% Havoc DMG Deepen for 14s to the Rover.
Do note that this is team's damage will be drastically reduced against enemies who are immune to Havoc such as the Havoc Prism.
Character | Explanation |
---|---|
Sanhua | Sub-DPS Replacement Sanhua can provide a much-needed Basic ATK Deepen that will boost the Rover's damage while in Dark Surge state. |
Yangyang | Sub-DPS Replacement Yangyang can group enemies up with her Resonance Liberation and provide Resonance Energy to the Rover with her Outro Skill. |
Baizhi | Support Replacement Baizhi is a free-to-play option who can provide a ton of healing. |
1 | Shorekeeper starts the battle and charges her Resonance Liberation alongside the team's Concerto Energy until the other Resonator's icons glow up. Cast her Resonance Liberation once available to set up her Stellarealm. |
---|---|
2 | Once Danjin is fully charged, switch to her. Shorekeeper's Outro Skill will provide her with an All-type DMG deepen with some defensive bonuses. |
3 | Keep attacking the enemies with Danjin until her Forte Circuit gauge is full. Then, activate Danjin's charged Heavy Attack. Finally, switch to the Rover when the Concerto Energy is full. Doing this increases the Rover's Havoc DMG. |
4 | Charge the Rover's Forte Circuit gauge so they can enter the Dark Surge state and do their combos. Do not forget to cast their Resonance Liberation whenever possible. |
5 | Switch back to Danjin for her to also reap the benefits of Shorekeeper's fully upgraded Stellarealm. Alternatively, you may switch to Shorekeeper with full Concerto Energy to detonate the Stellarealm for a burst of damage! |
6 | Repeat the steps until enemies are defeated. |
Rover (Havoc) Gameplay Guide |
---|
|
Rover (Havoc) is an easy-to-use DPS character. But, deals a lot of damage when used you understand how their kit works. Basically, their whole gameplay revolves around dealing damage in their Dark Surge state.
The only way for Rover (Havoc) to enter the Dark Surge state is to stack Umbra points. In other words, you need Rover (Havoc)'s Forte Circuit gauge to be fully charged.
Ability | Bars Charged |
---|---|
Basic Attack (5 Consecutive Attacks) |
13 Bars |
Heavy Attack (HA → BA4 → BA5) |
11 Bars |
Mid-air Attack | 4.5 Bars |
Dodge Counter | 5 Bars |
Resonance Skill (Normal Form) |
17 bars |
Intro Skill | 12.5 bars |
The values above are based on how much of the Forte Circuit gauge turns pink.
Listed above are all of Rover (Havoc)'s abilities that can charge Rover (Havoc)'s Forte gauge. The bars mentioned in the table refer to the grayish bars that form the Rover (Havoc)'s Forte Circuit gauge above their Health Bar.
Rover (Havoc)'s gauge has total of 41 bars to fill up. Their Resonance Skill in normal form provides the most Umbra and does not need to hit an enemy to earn Umbra.
Check out our recommended combos below to determine which combo can efficiently charge the Rover's Forte Circuit gauge.
To enter Rover (Havoc)'s Dark Surge state, use Heavy Attack: Devastation when the Forte Circuit gauge is full. This can be done by long pressing the Basic Attack button.
In the Dark Surge state, all of the Rover (Havoc)'s normal attacks and Resonance Skill will be enhanced. Your goal during the state is to land as many combos as possible. Note that you can extend the Dark Surge state using your Resonance Skill.
The damage of Rover (Havoc)'s ultimate is not affected by their Forte Circuit. This means that their Resonance Liberation does not have an enhanced variation. So, you can use Rover (Havoc)'s Ultimate whenever it is available!
The Dreamless Echo ability deals more damage during the first 50 seconds after Rover (Havoc) casts their ultimate. So if it is available to use, follow up Rover (Havoc)'s ultimate with it!
Combo |
---|
Intro Skill → Mid-air → Attack Res. Skill → Echo |
The best way to start Rover's turn on the field is to use their Resonance Skill right away to gain a huge chunk of Umbra points from the get-go. You also want to use your Echo's ability right after casting the Resonance Skill.
Combo |
---|
Heavy Attack → BA4 → BA5 → Heavy Attack: Devastation (if Forte gauge is full) |
If you succesfully landed the Switch-in Combo above, follow it up with a Heavy Attack and then two Basic Attacks. If the Forte Circuit gauge is already full, use Heavy Attack: Devastation.
Combo |
---|
BA1 → BA2 → BA3 → BA4 → BA5 → Res. Skill |
The combo that you need to execute during the Dark Surge state is pretty simple. You just have to land Rover (Havoc)'s full Basic Attack chain. Then, use your Resonance Skill when the state is about to end to extend it for a bit.
Combo |
---|
Res. Liberation → Echo |
When the Dreamless Echo ability's cooldown refreshes after using it during the Switch-in combo, only use it after activating Rover (Havoc)'s ultimate in order to maximize the Dreamless' damage.
You can sneak in this combo after doing any of the combos above. Do note that the DMG buff only applies to Dreamless. Other Echoes don't have this unique ability!

Skill | Priority | Explanation |
---|---|---|
Normal Attack | ★★★☆☆ | Even though Rover (Havoc) will consistently using their Basic Attacks, you will want to use the enhanced versions from their Resonance Liberation instead. You still want to upgrade this, but it is a medium priority when compared to the others. |
Resonance Skill | ★★★☆☆ | Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill gets replaced by Umbra: Lifetaker when you enter the Dark Surge state, which makes this ability only usable in Rover (Havoc)'s unenhanced state. But, you still need to use Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill to charge their Forte Gauge anyway. So, upgrading this ability should be your next priority when you fully upgraded the ones integral to Rover (Havoc)'s kit. |
Forte Circuit | ★★★★★ | Rover (Havoc) maximizes their damage output when they are in the Dark Surge state. Rover (Havoc)'s Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, and even Resonance Skill will be replaced by an enhanced version when entering Dark Surge. As you upgrade Rover (Havoc)'s Forte Circuit, the damage of the abilities mentioned will improve. With this, there is no doubt that this should be the highest priority to upgrade. |
Resonance Liberation | ★★★★★ | Rover (Havoc) big burst damage would come from his Resonance Liberation so upgrade this together with their Forte Circuit. This increases the already ridiculous damage multiplier which can melt even the toughest of enemies in the game. |
Intro Skill | ★★☆☆☆ | There is nothing special about Rover (Havoc)'s Intro Skill as it only deals Havoc DMG to a target when switching in. It is also their weakest ability. So, this ability should be the last one that you need to upgrade. |
The combination of their Forte Circuit and Resonance Liberation enables Havoc Rover to be a great burst Main DPS unit overall. With this in mind, focus on upgrading them first.
Afterwards, follow it up with their Resonance Skill and Normal Attacks so Havoc Rover can deal decent damage when outside the Dark Surge state.

Why We Recommend It | |
---|---|
S1 | ★★★★☆ - Great Cryptic Insight provides a DMG bonus of 30% to Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill. Meaning, this Sequence Node increases the damage of Wingblade and Lifetaker. A pretty straightforward upgrade to Rover (Havoc)'s kit but anything that buffs a DPS' damage is generally great! |
S2 | ★★★★★ - Amazing This Sequence Node resets the cooldown of Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill whenever they enter the Dark Surge state. An amazing upgrade to Rover (Havoc)'s kit as it allows you to cast Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill before entering their enhanced state and then using the ability again! |
S3 | ★★☆☆☆ - Okay This Sequence Node heals Rover (Havoc) whenever they land the full Basic Attack chain within the Dark Surge state. An okay upgrade to Rover (Havoc) but it is not that useful if you barely get hit by the enemies or have a healer in the team. |
S4 | ★★★★☆ - Great This node reduces the Havoc RES of enemies by 10% for 20 seconds whenever Rover (Havoc) successfully lands their Ultimate or a Heavy Attack when their Forte Guage is full. Note that the Havoc RES reduction will persist even when you switch out of Rover (Havoc). Fully taking advantage of this upgrade, however, limits you to using a Havoc team. |
S5 | ★★★☆☆ - Good This node improves Basic Attack V's damage in Rover (Havoc)'s Dark Surge state. This means that you will deal more damage when you land Rover (Havoc)'s full Basic Attack chain in their enhanced state. A great improvement if you can consistently land the last Basic Attack. |
S6 | ★★★★☆ - Great Improves Rover (Havoc)'s CRIT Rate in his enhanced state by 25%, allowing you to CRIT more often. |
S1 | Cryptic Insight Resonance Skill DMG Bonus is increased by 30%. |
---|---|
S2 | Warning Crescent Reset Resonance Skill's Cooldown when Rover enters the Dark Surge state by casting Heavy Attack Devastation. |
S3 | Surging Resonance In the Dark Surge state, Basic Attack V restores HP equal to 10% of total HP lost on hit. |
S4 | Annihilated Silence Heavy Attack Devastation and Resonance Liberation Deadening Abyss reduces enemy Havoc RES by 10% for 20s on hit. |
S5 | Aeon Symphony In the Dark Surge state, Basic Attack V deals an additional Havoc damage equal to 50% of Basic Attack V damage. |
S6 | Ebbing Undercurrent In the Dark Surge state, Rover's Crit. Rate is increased by 25%. |

Unlike Rover (Spectro), the Havoc version of the Rover has an enhanced state called the Dark Surge. They can enter the state when Forte Gauge is charged up!
Rover (Havoc)'s Outro Skill, however, does not generate an area of stasis anymore. Instead, it summons a Havoc Field, dealing Havoc DMG to all targets within its range for a few seconds.
With all things considered, Havoc Rover is by far the better of the two attributes. The raw damage potential that Havoc Rover has can rival even the characters that we get from banners - and we can get this unit for free!
