List of Contents
Make your way to the Yaniv Station Base northwest of Rostok. If you have previously been to Yaniv Station, you can ask the Guide (found in bases) to fast travel there for a price.
When you arrive at Yaniv Station, go to the room of Wreck - one of the traders in the base. Here you'll find both him and Dmytro Nor, the man in charge. Ask them about passage through to Pripyat then exhaust their dialogue options to know more about a guide named Spirit.
NOTE: Once the conversation ends, make sure to prepare some consumables and ammo as a scripted combat sequence between Monolith soldiers and the Yaniv Station soldiers will occur after you exit the main base building.
After learning about Spirit, Nor will tell you to look for the stalker at the top of the water tower in Yaniv Station base. However, as you leave, the Monolith will attack the station.
All Monolith soldiers will spawn in Exosuits with high physical protection. Use guns with a high penetration stat and go for headshots to get kills in two shots. AKM-74S mains can sub in the Dnipro since both use 5.45X39mm PS ammo. AR416 or GP37 users can use the Kharod since it also fires 5.56x45mm M885. The SVU-MK S-3 also works in a pinch for 1-shot kills to the head.
After the fight, don't forget to loot the Monolith soldier corpses as it is likely that one of them may drop a Gauss Gun and other valuable weapons, armor, and consumables. You can then store these in the Private Box inside the Yaniv Station.
With the Monolith put down, climb the tall water tower to the left of the Yaniv Station entrance. Open the door and climb the stairs to reach the top. Enter the room on the left to find Richter inside. Talk to him to complete the quest objective.
Spirit is located near the Red Forest region southwest of Yaniv Station. Make sure to have enough consumables and ammo as the next objective is a combat sequence.
Note that when you arrive near the area with stone walls in between, a new objective will pop up requiring you to complete it first before you can find Spirit.
Hide behind one of the stone gates and kill the Monolith soldiers. Make sure to kill the Monolith soldier on top of the large vehicle before moving to cover behind it.
Talk to Sanya Ocheret, the leader of the Stalker group, near the archway of the bridge.
Choose "I'm looking for Spirit" and he will open up the way to the tunnel behind him.
Open the gray door to enter the tunnel. Once you reach the area with two tanks at the right side, turn right to find Spirit standing near a large door.
There are multiple ways to convince Spirit depending on the dialogue options to choose from.
Option 1 | Option 2 | Option 3 |
---|---|---|
Choose the Topmost Dialogue Options | Use the Monolith Regenerator | Have Scar Convince Him (If allied with Spark) |
Talk to Spirit and choose the topmost dialogue options to obtain Spirit's Bunker Key Card.
You can use the Monolith Regenerator quest item that you obtained from An Act of Mercy to save his life. This is also where you can drop off the quest item.
Why Can’t You Drop Quest Items?
If you are allied with Spark, Scar will convince him easily allowing you to get the Bunker Key Card.

Head to the Spark Bunker northeast of your current location. Use a shotgun as you will fight soldiers in close quarters inside the bunker.
Find the locked door that requires a card to enter and pick up the Scanner-M on the leftmost desk to complete the objective.
After picking up the scanner, you have two options to use it: give it to Nor in exchange for a Prypiat permit or get through the tunnel using the scanner.
The best option is to give the scanner to Nor as he pays you for it and gives you free reign to use the Yaniv base door when passing through to Jupiter from the base.
Choices | |
---|---|
Give the Scanner to Nor | Get through the tunnels using the Scanner |
Go to Yaniv Station and talk to Dmytro Nor. Choose the "[Scanner-M] I brought the device" dialogue option to give him the scanner.
He will reward you with plenty of Coupons depending on the game's difficulty and access to the Yaniv base door.
Difficulty | Coupon Reward |
---|---|
Rookie | 32,391 Coupons |
Stalker | 24,000 Coupons |
Veteran | 18,000 Coupons |
If you want to go to the tunnel, find its entrance next to the Tornado Anomaly west of Yaniv Station. Make your way to the abandoned trainyard and loop around it to bypass the Tornado. You'll find the tunnel at the northeast side of the trainyard.
Upon entering the tunnel, you'll see a glowing semi-circle on the ground. Interact with it to set up the M-Scanner. Similar to how you used the scanner in There and Back Again, wait for it to finish charging and clearing the tunnel of electro anomalies before proceeding.
Once the way is clear, simply crouch walk your way to Jupiter. There will be a few electro anomalies left over, but you can just throw bolts at them in order to pass through safely. Make sure to also pick up the Dnipro inside the tunnel for a good late game assault rifle.

If you chose to give the scanner to Nor, head north from Yaniv Station until you reach the ruined remains of the Mobile Building Enterprise.
Head north from there and watch out for the Snork mutant that may appear from the abandoned warehouse.
Avoid heading inside the warehouse and head north until you can find a ruined bus and tall buildings to reach Prypiat. The main quest will be completed and will automatically starts the next one, The Road to the Foundation.
