Drop Extra Consumables

If you need to remove the encumbered status, you can drop surplus of bandages, medkits, vodka, bread, sausage, and canned food. You can easily find these consumables especially if you like looting during and after a fight.

Drop Heavy Weapons and Armor

The best way to remove the encumbered status is to drop heavy weapons and armor from your inventory.

You can check if you are encumbered if the meter at the bottom of the inventory screen becomes yellow or red.

Increase the Carry Weight Limit

You can also increase your maximum carry weight by adding carrying capacity upgrades for your armor, adding weight reduction upgrades to weapons, or equipping armor that increases the maximum carry weight.

Equipping Artifacts that grant Weight bonuses or using the Hercules drug helps as well.
