The Scanner, officially called a Detector, is used to find artifacts and detect anomalies in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Read on to learn how to use the Scanner!

How to Use Scanner

Bring it Out by Pressing 7 (PC) or RB (Xbox)

Toggle Scanner 7 Key XBOX - Right Bumper.png then move to Detector

Bring out your Scanner by pressing 7 for PC or RB for Xbox.

Equip by Dragging to Detector Slot

Drag Scanner Into Detector Slot

To equip the Scanner, open your inventory and then click and drag the Scanner into the Detector slot. There are 4 different detectors that you can get, each having different modes of scanning anomalies and artifacts.

Tools for Searching Artifacts and Anomalies

Bear Detector Anomaly Field

Scanners (or Detectors) are used to find Artifacts within the Zone by usually informing you through a beeping noise or giving you a visual indication that an Artifact is nearby.

It is also used to detect Anomalies, mainly to warn you if you are near one while exploring.
