Preloads for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is only available for Xbox. Read on to learn how to preload (pre-download STALKER 2) on Xbox and see why there won't be preloads available for PC.

Users on Xbox Series X|S platforms can now preload Stalker 2 by searching up Stalker 2 in the Xbox Store and downloading it to your storage. The game requires 147.6 GB of storage space to install.
The developers have confirmed over on the Official STALKER 2 Discord Server (via the gsc-answers channel) that PC preloads will not be available. PC players will have to wait and download the full game before being able to play on launch day.
According to the dev's answers on Discord, PC players won't have the option to preload since they couldn't find a way for a pre-download to be possible. The preload for Xbox was their compromise since they wanted at least 1 platform to have the option ahead of launch.
