After installing the Suppressor from the technician at the end of the In Search of Past Glory mission, Star of the Spark faction will contact you via radio. He will then request for you to go the Rendezvous Point in the Duga region to discuss the next plan of action.

Proceed to the rendezvous point at Duga. Once you arrive, instead of passing through the main entrance, go through the forest to the southeast and look for a wooden gate.
This is because the main entrance has a lot of soldiers patrolling the area and it may be difficult for you to fight them all at once.
Once inside the compound, follow the waypoint to the main road outside of the Fire Depot. Take caution, as there will be lots of gravitational anomalies in the area. Remember to use your Bolts to make them temporarily disappear.
Defeat the Monolithians along the main road. Each Monolithian will be marked on your map and compass to help you identify where they are. You're going to be outnumbered during the shootout, so use the cars along the road as cover.
Once all the Monolithians have been dealt with, enter the Infirmary and speak to Star at the 2nd floor.
Exit the Infirmary and climb down the manhole to enter the Sewers. The manhole should just be right outside the Infirmary's door.
After entering the sewers, crouch through the hole and follow the direction your waypoint to navigate through the tunnel filled with rodents, zombies, and gravitational anomalies. At the end of the tunnel, go down the hole on the floor to reach the subway system.
1 | Once at the subway, go past the gravitational anomalies yet again and fight off any zombies that come after you. Proceed ahead until you find a set of stairs to your left. |
---|---|
2 | Ascend the stairs and climb up the boxes. Before going through hole, toss a grenade down to the rats below to take them out, so that you can pass through this room safely. |
3 | Go down then circle around to the right side to find a hole on the wall - make sure to disarm the trap by cutting the thin rope! Afterward, enter it and open the safe to get an Anatomical Adjustment blueprint. |
4 | From the safe, go back again to the room and climb up the ladder. |
5 | Turn right and proceed along the catwalk. There will be holes on the floor so be sure to jump over them. The radio room should just be right ahead! |
Approach the radio and interact with it once the Change Frequency prompt appears to contact Star.
1 | Enter the vents in the radio room. Crawl through it and before dropping down the next room, throw a grenade to kill the rats below. |
---|---|
2 | Enter the room to your right and climb over the window to get to the hallway on the other side. |
3 | Go up the emergency staircase and then take a left. |
4 | Turn right and proceed through the narrow corridor, then climb up the ladder inside the bathroom. |
5 | Jump down the sewers and defeat the poltergeist below. Once the poltergeist is defeated, proceed ahead then climb up the ladder that leads to the Duga Compound. |
Exit the Duga Compound and go to the Duga Substation. You will be encountering heavy resistance along the way, but since you'll be in a forest, the trees should provide enough cover if you decide to just make a run for it and ignore the enemy soldiers.
Inside the substation, pull down the switch of 3 circuit breakers (each one marked on your map).
Go to the control room and pull the switch on the terminal to reboot the substation.
Leave the building and run across the compound towards the Comm Center. You will be greeted by several soldiers, so proceed with caution.
Enter the Comm Center and find Faust. Your waypoint will move as you progress through the building, making it easy to know if you're headed to the right direction. Faust should be in one of the rooms at the upper levels of the building.
When you first encounter him, he'll push you back using his powers before escaping to the rooftop. Once you get back on your feet, go and chase after him.
To defeat Faust, shoot the 3 psi-emitters around the roof, the ones that look like glowing lanterns. After destroying them, shoot the 4th psi-emitter attached to Faust's hip and destroy it to render him vulnerable to damage. Deal enough damage to end the fight and trigger the cutscene.
Choice | Result |

Climb Up Yourself | You will climb the ledge up by yourself. This will then lead to a heartwarming conversation with Faust and will end the mission. |
Accept Help | Faust will seemingly help you but as soon as he grabs your hand, he will let go, leading to your death. |
Once you've damaged Faust enough, a cutscene and dialogue sequence will play out where you'll find yourself hanging on a ledge. Choose the option to climb the ledge up yourself, since choosing to let Faust help you up will lead to your death.
After getting up the ledge, exhaust all remaining dialogue options with him. You will then be transported to the roof, with Faust dead on the ground. The next mission, Visions of Truth will then commence.
