If you have a Detector in your inventory, it will start to beep when you are near an Artifact. The beeping sound will beep rapidly when you are close at an Artifact.
To bring out the Detector, press the 7 key on the PC version. In the Xbox version, you will have to bring it out from the Inventory menu.
Each Detector has a different way of using it to find the artifacts as summarized in the table below.
Detector | How to Use |
---|---|
Veles Detector (Best!) | Detector shows the exact location of the Artifact relative to your position on the radar map. |
Bear Detector | Detector uses lights as compass and proximity detector. Follow the direction of the lights until it turns into a full circle. |
Hilka Detector | Use the number on the detector as a gauge to see how far away you are from the Artifact. |
Echo Detector | Listen to in-game sounds and check the frequency of the blinking light to determine how close you are to the Artifact. Most difficult to use among the three detectors. |
Once you have found the Artifact using the detector, pick it up from the ground to add it in your inventory.
You can find Artifacts in Anomalies. These are areas that activate hazardous environmental attacks if you step close to it.
All Artifact Farming Locations
Artifacts provide bonuses that help you survive in the Zone. Open the Inventory screen and place it on the empty slot on the Equipment window to equip it.
You can also sell Artifacts for a profit. Selling these is the best way to get Coupons quickly.
You will mostly find Artifacts with weak stats at the starting area but as you venture out, you can find rarer Artifacts that sell for a good amount of Coupons.
