How to Find Artifacts

Use Detector to Pinpoint the Artifact's Exact Location

If you have a Detector in your inventory, it will start to beep when you are near an Artifact. The beeping sound will beep rapidly when you are close at an Artifact.

To bring out the Detector, press the 7 key on the PC version. In the Xbox version, you will have to bring it out from the Inventory menu.

Each Detector has a different way of using it to find the artifacts as summarized in the table below.

Detector How to Use
Veles DetectorVeles Detector (Best!) Veles Detector in Action Detector shows the exact location of the Artifact relative to your position on the radar map.
Bear DetectorBear Detector Detector uses lights as compass and proximity detector. Follow the direction of the lights until it turns into a full circle.
Hilka DetectorHilka Detector Use the number on the detector as a gauge to see how far away you are from the Artifact.
Echo DetectorEcho Detector Listen to in-game sounds and check the frequency of the blinking light to determine how close you are to the Artifact. Most difficult to use among the three detectors.

Once you have found the Artifact using the detector, pick it up from the ground to add it in your inventory.
