How to Unlock Fast Travel

Unlock at Least 1 More Base Location

Fast Travel will remain locked until you manage to find at least 1 more base after Zalissya in the Lesser Zone. The best base to unlock after Zalissya will be Slag Heap in Garbage since a lot of the early game main missions will have you returning to this location.

Once you gain access to Slag Heap, you'll be able to start fast traveling between Slag Heap and Zalissya. Set your sights on unlocking Rostok next if you really want to have a good set of bases to fast travel between.

Chemical Plant will Not be Accessible Early

Players who sided with the Ward faction during the main mission, A Needle in a Haystack, will find themselves exiting the Lesser Zone via the Chemical Plant region during Behind Seven Seals.

While technically the Chemical Plant base is nearer than Slag Heap for Ward players, you won't be able to actually enter the base until much later. This leaves you with no choice but to make a beeline for Slag Heap if you want to unlock fast travel between bases.

Talk to Guides and Pay A Fee

fast travelling via a Guide

Similar to the previous iterations of the STALKER franchise, you can fast travel by talking to a Guide, paying them a fee in Coupons (K), and telling them the location that you want to go to.

Guides will only be available in Bases and they'll only be able to ferry you to other Bases across the Zone. You will not be able to fast travel to specific locations other than Bases.

Fast Travel is Only Available for Places You've Visited

Guides will not be able to take you to places you haven't been to. You'll first have to get to each of the Bases on the map before you can fast travel to them later in your playthrough. Do note that depending on your faction reputation, some bases will be unavailable to you if you have bad relations with the owners.

Fast Travel Price Depends on the Distance

The price that you need to pay for fast travelling depends on how far your destination is from the Guide. The farther the fast travel point is, the more Coupons you'll need to shell out.

Make sure everything is set before heading out as frequent uses can burn a hole in your pocket! With how the prices go up fast in the game, you'd want to make sure you've accomplished all the tasks you need to do before talking to a Guide and teleporting away.

There Are No Drivable Vehicles

Fast travelling via Guides and walking are your only means of exploring the world of STALKER 2. There are no drivable vehicles that you can use within The Zone.

When Can You Not Fast Travel?

Fast Travel is Disabled During an Emission

Even the Guides won't risk their lives going outside during an Emission. While this deadly phenomenon is happening, fast travels are disabled and you'll have to wait it out before any Guide agrees to take you to your destination.
