You can only get 2,500 Coupons regardless of your decision during the mission.

Take Sashko Cheery's Gun (M10 Gordon) before going to Slag Heap to convince Zakhar Babay to leave Slag Heap. You should be able to find his dead body from the people you've killed to save Akopyan.
Go to Slag Heap and talk to Zakhar Babay. Tell him Akopyan's mesage and show him Sashko's gun to prove that Akopyon killed them. This will scare him away from Slag Heap and will ask you to accompany him.

You can choose to escort Zakhar or kill him after luring him out of the Slag Heap. Choosing to escort him until he meet his men will get you the same rewards as killing him.
However, you will find Akopyan dead once if you've successfully escorted Zakhar, even if you kill Zakhar afterward.
You can side with Zahkar and escort him out of Slag Heap. You will only receive your payment for escorting him once he meet with his men.
You can kill him after this, but even so, you will receive no reward from Akopyan as you will find him dead where you left him.
You can kill Zakhar once he's outside of Slag Heap to avoid making the whole the whole camp your enemy. The best time to do this is when he is about to loot his stash.
You can then loot his stash containing an AKM-74S with some Canned Food and a Medkit after killing him.
You can go back to Akopyan in Slag Heap if you killed Zakhar. You will receive 2,500 Coupons from him, and that will be the end of this mission.
