How to Reach the Tornado Crane Arm |
---|
① Find the Building with a House Icon ② Exit Into the Center of the Tornado ③ Reach the Crane Arm (Platforming Section) ④ Grab the Weird Bolt at the Top of the Crane Arm |
Before you can actually tackle this anomaly, you'll first need to find the starting area of its lengthy platforming segment. On the south side of the trainyard, you'll find a large warehouse that has one open red gate with a house icon painted on it. Enter it and wait inside.
While inside, keep checking on the position of the Tornado. Wait for its center to be directly on top of the building before you exit. If you time this right, you should take no damage and now be at the center of the moving Tornado Anomaly.
The center is a safe zone. So long as you don't touch the edges, you won't take damage. Make sure to stay in the center since a single hit will ruin your timing, requiring you to restart the wait inside the warehouse if you survive the anomaly's damage.
Next to the open doorway will be a crate filled with Energy Drinks. If you don't have any, make sure to grab a few for the platforming segment. While you won't be required to run through it, the jumps do take quite a bit of stamina, especially when done consecutively.
While staying at the center of the Tornado, move along with it, platforming on top of the shipping containers until you reach the crane arm at the western end of the train yard. The platforming path is very obvious and requires little to no sprinting. Take your time, mind your positioning at the center of the Tornado, and you should be able reach the crane arm with minimal fuss.
How to Reach the Weird Bolt | |
---|---|
1 | Climb up the first set of stairs you see. Then, keep following the movement of the Tornado's center along the raised platform. |
2 | Upon reaching the first set of train cars with shipping containers, you'll soon see a few wooden boxes that should allow you to climb up onto the train car. Do so while keeping an eye on the movement of the Tornado's center. |
3 | Next, follow the direction of the metal sheets that jut out along the edge of the train cars and shipping containers. They will point you in the direction of where you need to jump. Do this until you reach the crane arm. Remember, stay at the center of the Tornado. If you get hit during the run, your timing will be off once you reach the crane arm, causing you to miss the Weird Bolt. |
This part is the trickiest bit. Once the Tornado reaches the base of the crane arm, you'll need to run up to the top. Be careful not to get hit by the edge of the Tornado since this will mess up your timing, causing you to miss getting the Weird Bolt.
Once at the top, immediately look behind you and you should see the Weird Bolt glowing red and floating through the air. Spam F or X (on controller) to pluck the Weird Bolt out of the air. Once you have it though, immediately move back down the crane to avoid getting swept up and thrown down to your death.
After you get the Weird Bolt, you are guaranteed to get hit at least once by the Tornado, putting you at critical health. Make sure you have a Medkit ready before you start making your way down the crane and out of the train yard.
