With outdated electronic components and subpar usability, this basic artifact detector is only redeemed by its very modest price. | Can be obtained during There and Back Again main mission. |
 Hilka Detector |
A next-generation detector in the beginner tier, designed to supersede the Echo. Thanks to its all- new electronic components and antenna, it can detect artifacts at a greater range than its predecessor. | Stolen from one of the stashes during the Budmo! side mission. |
 Bear Detector |
An improved first-generation artifact detector. Compared to the Echo, it features a more user- friendly radar display and upgraded electronic components. | Obtained by doing A Sign of Hope side mission. |
 Veles Detector |
An improved second-generation detector. Despite its relatively high price, this detector is favored by seasoned stalkers for its user-friendly interface, reliability, and remarkable efficiency. | Unlocked after completing In Search of Past Glory main mission. |
Detectors are used to find Artifacts within the Zone by usually informing you through a beeping noise or giving you a visual indication that an Artifact is nearby.
It is also used to detect Anomalies when you are exploring.
