Weapon System Explained

Used to Fight Enemies

Fight Enemies

Weapons in STALKER 2 have one purpose: to defend oneself against enemies within the Zone. Weapons are used as a way to protect yourself from hostile encounters.

Weapons can usually be found on dead bodies or loot stashes scattered throughout the Zone.

Equip Attachments to Adapt to the Current Situation

Attachment

The Zone is filled with unexpected encounters and enemies which means that there will be effective ways to deal with these encounters. There are different attachments available for you to equip with your weapon in order to adapt with your current situation.

For example, you might need to take out enemies from afar who are coming to your location. You can attach a scope in order to easily take them out from a distance before they can even come to you.

It is up to you what type of attachments you would want to equip depending on your playstyle and situation.

Upgrade and Repair Your Weapon With a Technician

Technician Upgrade

Always remember that your guns have a durability meaning that they will break once the durability percent reaches 0% after multiple use. Fortunately, you can visit a technician so they can fix your favorite gun, as well as upgrade your gun to increase its efficiency and effectiveness in battle. Each upgrade and repair costs Karbovanets.

Use Different Ammo Types to Counter Different Enemies

Ammo
On your journey within the zone, you might encounter enemies that might be better dealt by using a certain ammo type. For example, you might be going to an area with enemies wearing armor. In this situation, it is better to use armor-piercing bullets to take them out quickly.

All ammos are only compatible with certain guns so make sure to check what guns the ammo fits into before using them in battle.
