Remove Artifacts from Your Armor Slots

Remove Artifacts from Your Inventory

To check if you have the radiation bug, the first step is to remove any artifacts you currently have equipped. If the radiation meter stops going up, it just means you don't have enough radio protection to handle your current artifact setup.

You can raise your radio protection by either upgrading your armor with Lead Containers or equipping Radio Protection Artifacts that are typically found in Acid Anomalies.

However, if the radiation meter still keeps going up despite being in a safe area while having no artifacts equipped, then you probably have the radiation bug.

Go to a Medic to Remove the Radiation

Go a medic at a base to remove the radiation bug for free. This will fix the issue that causes the radiation to go up despite removing the artifact.
