STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl

Is There Crafting?

There is no crafting system in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. See if there's something similar to crafting in the game and how better gear is created in this guide!

Is There Crafting in STALKER 2?

No Crafting System

There is no crafting system in STALKER 2, and you won't need to scour the areas to find different types of materials just to create ammo or other items.

Consumables, weapons, armor, and ammunition—usually obtained in a lot of other games through crafting systems—can be looted while exploring, bought from traders, or rewarded by completing tasks in STALKER 2.

No Scrapping Broken Equipment Either

Having no crafting system means you can't scrap broken equipment for spare parts either. You can just drop them on the ground from your inventory to free up space.

Broken equipment can't be sold to traders as they simply won't accept something with very low durability. The amount of Coupons that you will get for selling an equipment is much less than its repair cost anyway, so it's better to just discard the equipment if you're not planning to use it after repair.

Can You Sell Broken Weapons?

Upgrades Only Require Blueprints and Coupons

armor upgrade tree

The only mechanic close to a crafting system in STALKER 2 are the upgrade trees for weapons and armor. You'll only need to find the necessary blueprints and pay Coupons to increase their stats and unlock better upgrades further through the tree.
