What is Flatness?

Affects the Trajectory of Bullets Fired from a Gun

Lynx Flatness

Flatness affects the trajectory of the bullet and reduces bullet drops at a certain range. Guns with low flatness have shorter point-blank range while guns with high flatness have long ranges.

How to Increase Flatness

Upgrade the Weapon

VS Vintar Flatness

You can increase the Flatness stat of the weapon by upgrading it. Go to a Technician at a base and choose the weapon you want to upgrade.

Note that some weapons need a prerequisite upgrade before you can choose the upgrade that increases the Flatness stat. For example, the VS Vintar requires the Modified Gas Block Geometry upgrade before you can add the Barrel Lock, which adds a Flatness 15% stat.

It is recommended to increase the Flatness stat for sniper rifles and pistols to increase their maximum range.
