This is tier list and guide on the best artifacts in STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl. Learn what the best artifacts for the early and late game, and how to get armor with 4 or 5 artifact slots for fitting them.

Radiation: Strong Endurance: Medium Physical Protection: Medium Best for supplementing a combination of endurance and physical protection protection. |
For the best artifact combination, aim to have 5 artifact slots with at least 3 Lead Containers to protect yourself from 3 above radiation-emitting artifacts. Liquid Rock will protect you from 1 of any of the above radiation artifacts in an open slot. You can get 5 artifact slots and Lead Containers through suit upgrades.
This combination is the best for having the best all-around protection. Feel free to adjust it if you need to certain stats (artifacts effects can stack). For more weight, you can opt out any of the artifacts above except Liquid Rock for Night Star increases your carry weight by 9 kg.
Best Early Game Artifact Combination

Unique Effect: Reduces bullet damage when standing still.
Easy to acquire in early game (found in the Bulba anomaly in the Lesser Zone). Gives you bullet damage reduction while standing still with no radiation drawback. |

Radiation: Weak Endurance: Weak Physical Protection: Weak Increases protection against physical damage and gravity anomalies since you will encounter a lot of them in the early game. Also improves Endurance for a bit better stamina drain and regen. Substitute: |

Sapphire
|
Radiation: Weak Bleeding Resistance: Weak Endurance: Weak Improves Endurance and also gives you some protection to bleed (increases bleed recovery chance). This is important in gunfights and melee attacks that will almost often cause you to bleed. |

Radio Protection: Medium Provides medium radio protection, allowing you to equip 1 medium radiation artifacts or 2 weak radiation artifacts without taking radiation damage. Substitute: ・

For the early game, above are the best artifacts you can have with at least 4 artifact slots. All of these can be obtained within the Lesser Zone, all being obtainable randomly from anomaly fields except the Weird Ball, which must be obtained from under the Bulba anomaly.
Best Artifact Slot Suits
Best 4 Artifact Slot Suit (Early Game)
You can get a suit with 4 slots as early as right after Behind Seven Seals, when you're able to leave the Lesser Zone. The PSZ-12V Bulat has 4 artifact slots and it can be found at the Army Warehouses in the Chemical Plant region, directly west of Zalissya.

The best suit you can have that will provide you 5 artifact slots is the Diamond Exoskeleton, which is obtained much later in the game during and after the mission The Boundary. One can be found on top of the Spark Bunker in Yaniv and the other at the Sunny Kindergarten in Prypiat. When fully upgraded, this suit will have 4 Lead Containers.
