Get Inside the Troposphere Comm Station

Use the Badge Go to the Loading Dock

Head to the Troposphere Comm Station northwest of STC Malachite. Once you enter the station, you have two options to enter: use the badge or get inside through the loading dock.

Going inside through the loading dock is the safer option as it skips most of the combat when you first enter the station. Although you still need to kill the soldiers as you navigate the narrow corridors once you are near the control room.

Use the Badge to Enter the Troposphere Comm Station

If you have the Ward Badge, you can head to the entrance of the station and press the red button near the door. Choose "I have a pass" from the dialogue options so that the door opens.

Enter the building and wait for the cutscene to end. Hide near the door and equip your weapon to kill the two guards.

After killing the two guards, loot Sold. Lotvyn's body to get the key card marked with an orange folder icon.

Get Inside the Troposphere Comm Station through the Loading Dock (Optional)

Head to the loading dock area and find the crashed helicopter. Head to the right of the crashed helicopter to find a opening on the ground with a ladder that you can climb down.

Open the door and head left to find a door switch. Interact with the door switch to use the Decoder that unlocks the door. This is the same Decoder Quest Item that you obtained during the Legends of the Zone main mission.

Open the Door with the Key Card

If you used the badge to enter the Comm Station, use the key card you looted from Sold. Lotvyn's body to unlock the door. Open the second door and kill all the soldiers in the room.

Look Around the STALKER Program Control Center

You will need to kill the remaining soldiers as you reach the open room with a staircase leading to a narrow corridor.

Head up the stairs and drop down on the hole on the floor. Use your flashlight to find the door on the left that leads to the next area.

Head up to another set of stairs and kill the two soldiers that are stationed in between the two doors. Kill the third soldier at the top of the stairs before looting.

Go through the open door on the right once you reach the top of the stairs.

Go to the Medical Room to Reach the Control Panel

Go to the door on the right to reach a narrow hallway with the yellow and white walls. Once you reach the medical room, kill the two soldiers stationed there and kill the third soldier in the next room.

Open the door from the second medical room to reach a very narrow hallway. Head left to find a door at the end and another door on the right corner to reach the room with the control panel.

Activate the Control Panel

Open the door beside the large computer and head down the stairs. Open two more doors to reach the another room that contains a control panel with a red button beside the Project FIBER Report.

Press the red button on the control panel. This causes the locked door on the right to open. Enter the door and watch the cutscene.

Leave the Troposhere Comm Station

Enter the vent
Exit through the door and head to the open door. You can go to the room on the right to pick up some consumables and ammo.

Head to the room on the left that contains pipes and a large vent. Crouch to enter the vent to reach the room locked behind a metal gate.

Once you approach the blue door on the left, a cutscene will play.

Choose Between Siding with Col. Korshunov or Escaping

Once the cutscene ends, you have a choice to side with Col. Korshunov or escape. The choice you choose here affects the ending that you will get.

Choosing the Escape option will activate Escape from the Cage main quest. This is a mission that has you try to escape the Ward's Chemical Base and retrieve your items back.

On the other hand, choosing "I'm Not Your Enemy" lets you skip the Escape from the Cage and immediately starts The Boundary main mission.

Your rewards in Dangerous Liaisons will depend on your answer to Korshunov's question at the end of the mission ("Escape" or "I'm with you") as well as who you sided with during the previous mission, Subtle Matter.
