Affects Behind Seven Seals Main Quest
| Choice | Results |

| Help Squint | Unlocks Piece of Cake side mission to obtain the Ward Sensors in exchange for the Mold artifact. |
| Kill Squint | Obtain the Ward Sensors immediately and removes Squint from the rest of the game. |
The choice between choosing to help or kill Squint appears after finding him hiding inside the windmill east of Zalissya as part of the Behind Seven Seals main quest.

Should You Help or Kill Squint?
Help Squint to Obtain a Side Mission
If you choose to help Squint, you will need to complete the Piece of Cake side mission. This requires you to retrieve a Mold Artifact, defeat a bloodsucker, and exchange the artifact for the Ward Sensors.
Keep Both the Mold Artifact and Ward Sensors
Once you return to Squint with the Mold Artifact, you have another option to turn it in or keep the artifact for yourself. You can hand over the artifact to get the Ward Sensors to complete the side quest.
If you choose the latter, Squint will become hostile and you will need to kill him to loot the Ward Sensors from his body.
Kill Squint to Get the Ward Sensors Immediately
If you want to skip the side quest entirely, you can choose the [Attack] dialogue option and kill him to loot the Ward Sensors. Afterwards, you can still choose to get the artifact for yourself. Additionally, you can still give the Ward Sensors to either Richter or Capt. Zotov. There is no lasting consequence to killing Squint.

Ikke 12 monthsI saw him a second time after I left him alive. There wasn't much time in between. I can't remember exactly where. He couldn't leave the zone, but had other good uses for the artifact. He thanked me and wished me a safe journey.
