A Long Overdue Visit | Wishful Thinking |
List of Contents
After speaking to Dr. Dalin in A Long Overdue Visit, you'll need to go to the Cryptobiology and Psi-Medicine Laboratory of the SIRCAA facility. Backtrack to the lobby outside of Dalin's office, then head out into the garden courtyard. The Cryptobiology lab will be found to the east of the main SIRCAA building.
Players who sided with Kryvenko will recognize the good doctor from the main mission Dead Frequency. Greet him after entering the Cryptobiology lab before following him deeper into the building.
After Kryvenko leads you into the main hall of the lab, he'll tell you more about the lockdown and the anomaly reading they got. Tell him you'll look into it yourself to progress the mission.
1 | Right after talking to Dr. Kryvenko, exit the room via the door that you just came from. Then, go through the door to the left of the hallway. This should lead up to a large laboratory. |
---|---|
2 | Go to the hallway on the other side of the laboratory. It should take you outside of the building. |
3 | Climb down the ladders and run over to the small building on the other side of the field. |
4 | Inside the small building, turn right and go through the door at the end. You'll find a blocked sewer entrance outside. Break the wooden barricades with your knife and then climb down. This is the entrance to the Ventilation Shaft. |
1 | Proceed ahead and go down the ventilation shaft. You should see a small hole that you can crawl through. Drop down on the other side, and then climb down a few more ladders to reach the bottom of the sewer drainage. |
---|---|
2 | Before proceeding deep down the sewer system, take out the group of rodents crawling around. You can toss a grenade while you're up on the ledge before climing down the ladder safely. After that, circle around the giant exhaust vent and go up another ladder again. |
3 | At the garage, you'll find a Burer - a hooded mutant that uses its psychic abilities to pull your gun from your hands (dropping it) and using fallen guns to shoot back at you. Keep out of sight until the blue glow around his body vanishes. Only shoot at him when this blue glow is gone, otherwise you won't deal any damage. |
4 | Enter the first door to your left, the one with a red light. This should lead you to a hallway with prison cells. |
Assistant Tamm will call for help as soon as you enter the hallway with prison cells. Kill the mutant cat that will also immediately attack you. Afterward, speak to Assistant Tamm who is locked behind one of the prison cells. He will tell you about a warehouse containing supplies that you can take for free.
After helping Assistant Tamm, go up the emergency staircase and into the room with an enemy soldier present inside. Enter the door on the far right corner and open the blue container inside. You'll find a handful of medical supplies and ammo.
Go through the room with a lot of control panels and pipeplines. Once you reach the other side, you'll find yourself in a room filled with different types of Anomalies. The best way to pass through them is to jump from one ledge to another and avoid hitting the ground until you reach the end of the obstacle course.
Arranged from left to right, press the buttons in this order: first, third, fourth, and second. The lights near the buttons will turn green if you got it correctly.
Enter the room behind the button puzzle and kill the Bloodsucker awaiting you inside.

Inside the room with highly toxic chemicals, go up the ladder near the pipes and turn the first valve on top of it. Next, turn the second valve located at the middle of the room. Lastly, move a few steps to your right and turn the third valve around. This should remove the toxic effect in the room and also unlocks the door.
Follow the path ahead until you reach the Spatial Anomaly. Once there, jump into it and you'll then be transported to an abandoned facility.
As soon you have teleported to the abandoned facility, zombie soldiers will immediately attack you. Once dealt with, follow the waypoint and talk to Professor Hermann behind the glass room.
1 | After speaking to Professor Hermann through the glass window, open the orange doors to your right and then drop down to enter a small cave. |
---|---|
2 | Equip your knife and then slash the lock to destroy it. There will be a few anomalies in the room. They are slightly visible as you can see their particles and you can easily avoid them. |
3 | Continue moving along the hallways until you reach the room with Professor Hermann in it. After a brief conversation, he will disappear into the Spatial Anomaly behind him. |
Follow Hermann into the Spatial Anomaly. You will be transported to different areas containing different types of mutants, but only for brief periods. Once all these crazy teleportation mishaps are over, you will finally be transported back outside the facility safe and sound and the mission will end here.
Dr. Dalin will then contact you via radio, telling you to come see him. This will then begin the Wishful Thinking mission
