Similar to previous STALKER games, there is no character creation and you play as a preset character. In STALKER 2, you play as Skif — a character of a complicated nature. He is not very talkative, but he is not afraid to act.

Skif is a normal person with a very complex destiny. There is no traditional RPG leveling system — no stat upgrades and no perks.

Instead, you grow stronger by finding and upgrading weapons and gear and learning to navigate through The Zone.
