Stalker 2 - Which Gloomy Reward Should You Choose

This is a guide to which Gloomy reward should you choose in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Find out if you should get the Echo Detector or the stash that contains useful loot.

[Echo Detector] The detector will do. Gloomy will give you the Echo Detector. However, he won't tell you about the stash he left behind in the Magnetic Cave.
[Reward] I have a detector. Gloomy will keep the Echo Detector and tell you about his stash that he dropped in the Magnetic cave nearby.
[Reward] Got anything else? Gloomy will keep the Echo Detector and tell you about the stash he dropped in the Magnetic Cave nearby.

As a reward for completing the Dangerous Visitors mission, you will be given a choice by Gloomy to accept the Echo Detector, refuse it, or ask for a different reward.

Asking for a different reward or refusing the Echo Detector reveals that he has a stash at the Magnetic Cave nearby. The stash contains some useful loot and it is yours for the taking.

Get the Echo Detector, Then Get Gloomy's Stash in the Cave

Get Gloomy

You can get both rewards from Gloomy by accepting the Echo Detector from him. After that, proceed to the Magnetic Cave located outside the house to retrieve his stash containing useful loot.

The Echo Detector is the same detector that you have, so you can just sell the extra one for more Coupons.
