STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl

How to Beat the Faust Boss Fight

Faust Boss Fight

Faust is a boss fight during the Happiness for Everyone or Once More Unto the Breach main missions of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Read on to learn how to beat Faust, the location of his boss fight, and when you fight him during the main story of the game.

How to Beat the Faust Boss Fight

Tips for Beating Faust

Destroy the 3 Psi-Emitters on the Roof

Once you reach the roof of the Duga Substation, the Faust fight will begin automatically. To make him vulnerable, destroy the 3 Psi-Emitters scattered around the roof. Spam heals and focus your fire on the Psi-Emitters since the spawning Monolithians will keep getting reinforced by psy illusions if you don't.

Note that while it may be advantageous to thin out the Monolithians, your focus should be on destroying the Psi-Emitters when possible in order to progress the fight. Linger too long in this phase and you'll quickly find yourself overwhelmed by Faust's reinforcements.

Destroy Faust's Psi-Emitter

When all 3 Psi-Emitters are destroyed, Faust will start attacking you directly without the aid of his illusions. Focus your fire on the Psi-Emitter attached to his hip. It will glow red as it is about to break. Once it does, shoot at Faust (who should now be unshielded) to deal damage. Deal enough damage while he is vulnerable to end the fight.

Stay Close to Faust to Avoid His Pull Attack

Faust, being a Controller, shares the same disorienting Psi-grab attack as the mutated variant. In order to prevent him from messing with your camera and aim during the fight, try to stick to him as close as possible.

There are plenty of options for cover scattered throughout the roof. Use them to avoid his bullets while maintaining distance to prevent him from spamming the grab attack.

Can You Kill Faust During Assault on the Duga?

You Can't Kill Faust Yet During Assault on the Duga

Unfortunately, killing Faust during the main mission, Assault on the Duga, will be impossible. Regardless of who you sided with, both Ward and Spark soldiers will be forced to retreat during the mission since Faust will be unkillable. His real boss fight will occur later on after you finish a few more main missions.

When Do You Fight Faust?

Fought at the Duga Substation During the 2nd Assault on the Duga

Depending on who you sided with, the mission where you try to attack the Duga for a second time will be different. If you sided with Spark, the 2nd assault will occur during the main mission, Happiness for Everyone. If you sided with Ward, then the assault will occur during Once More Unto the Breach.

Despite the different objectives during both missions, the Faust Boss Fight will always be the same, having you fight Faust atop the Duga Substation during either mission. Regardless of who you sided with, the fight mechanics will remain the same as well.
