Random Weapons in Inventory Bug Explained
Bug Tends to Happen in Areas with Zombies
This bug is more likely to occur in areas with Zombies such as the Red Forest and Prypiat. When roaming around these areas, random weapons will appear in your inventory often with yellow or red durability.
Another variation of the bug occurs where a new weapon will be auto-swapped as your equipped weapon.
Possible Fixes for Random Weapons in Inventory Bug
No Official Fixes Have Been Announced
At the time of writing, no official fixes have been announced. The latest patch, Patch 1.0.3, does not fix this bug so it is likely that you will encounter this bug when playing the game.
Run Back to a Base to Sell the Weapons
If there are new weapons that appeared in your inventory, you can head to a nearby base to sell to gain Coupons.
If the weapon has a red durability icon, you can store it at the private box and head to Rostok to sell it to Ragman.
