Multiplayer Release Date
Multiplayer To Be Added After Initial Release
Multiplayer is confirmed to be added sometime "soon" after the game's initial launch on November 20, 2024. It will be added as a free content update.
Until then, players can enjoy the single-player campaign to get a feel of the game's combat and mechanics before diving into multiplayer when its release day finally arrives.
Multiplayer Game Modes
Focused on PvP Modes
STALKER 2's online play will mainly focus on PvP, similar to its predecessors. Players are expected to drop into the exclusion zone to participate in gruesome game modes that pits them against other Stalkers from all over the world to battle for survival.
Previous STALKER Multiplayer Modes
| Team Deathmatch | Earn points by getting kills. The team with the highest score wins. |
|---|---|
| Deathmatch | Free-for-all deathmatch. The player with the highest amount of kills wins. |
| Artifact Hunt | Two teams are tasked with hunting Artifacts. The team with the most Artifacts wins. |
Multiplayer Features
Armor and Weapon Skins
Unique cosmetics will be available in Multiplayer mode. Players will able to customize their character's appearance with armor skins and weapon skins.
Skins are confirmed to be in the game, as seen in the pre-order bonuses.
Badges
Badges are another cosmetic in Multiplayer that players can equip to flaunt and showcase them to other players.
Is There Co-Op Mode in Multiplayer?
No Co-Op Mode
There will be no Co-Op mode for Multiplayer. The developers have already confirmed this on the official STALKER 2 Discord server.
