- Individual attacks with Odin's blade are far less potent than those with Clive's regular weapon. - Attacks with Odin's blade do not fill the Limit Break gauge. - However, striking an enemy or landing an ability with Odin's blade fills the Zantetsuken gauge. - Hold □ to ready Zantetsuken, release to execute. - Zantetsuken potency and complexity increase with gauge level. |

Arm of Darkness is unlocked by gaining the power of Odin during the quest, The Last King. You may need to complete or encounter a certain story section in order to unlock this ability.
Equip the Eikon you want to use and press Circle to activate the Eikonic Feat in combat!

Clive can learn and upgrade Abilities by spending Ability Points (AP) obtained through enemy combat and through completion of Main Quests, Side Quests, or even Hunt Board Quests.
How to Learn and Upgrade Abilities and Skills
Every Damn Sinew Bronze Trophy | |

Land a Lv. 2 or higher Zantetsuken five times (excluding battles in Hall of Virtue). |
Using five Zantetsukens that are at least lv2 unlocks the Every Damn Sinew trophy achievement! Most of Odin's Eikonic Abilities also charges the Zantetsuken gauge, so use those to quickly increase its level.
Fistful of Steel Bronze Trophy | |
---|---|
Execute 3 Steel Counters in a single battle (excluding battles in Hall of Virtue). |
Steel Counter is a technique done by parrying an attack and pressing the attack button again while holding Odin's sword (Arm of Darkness activated). Do this three times in a single battle to unlock the Fistful of Steel trophy achievement!
