The Hefty Furnace Pot is crafted from the Greater Potentate's Cookbook [2] crafting recipe. The cookbook is obtainable from Run-Down Traveler's Rest alongside 2 Furnace Visage.
The Run-Down Traveler's Rest is located below the southern section of the Ellac Greatbridge. You can get there by going north of the Tree-Path Cross Site of Grace.

| Furnace Visage | ・Furnace Visages drop from defeating Furnace Golems. But they can also be found on dead ones, such as the dead golem east of the Shadow Keep main entrance.
・Several can be found around the Castle Watering Hole area near several destroyed golems. ・3 Furnace Visage can be obtained when you give Hornsent the Scorpion Stew you get from Hornsent Grandam. |
| Redflesh Mushroom | ・Redflesh Mushrooms can appear on the side of the road near the Tree Path Cross Site of Grace.
・They can drop from defeating regular shadow enemies. ・Bought at the Twin Maiden Husks with the Mushroom-Seller's Bell 1 (Found in a hanging pot south of the Temple Town Ruins. Take the waterfall-gravestone path). |
| Ember of Messmer | ・Can be farmed from the fiery dogs patrolling at the camps before Castle Ensis or Shadow Keep.

Once you have the Greater Potentate's Cookbook 2, you will need the above items to craft Hefty Furnace Pots.
Greater Potentate's Cookbook 2 Location
Hefty Furnace Pots are used to greatly damage Furnace Golems by throwing them into their cauldron heads. If the golem is asleep or inactive (such as the one at Ruins of Unte), they will be awakened. These are good to have also if you have to deal with golems that have armored legs.
Furnace Golems are sources for acquiring the DLC's Crystal Tears, so make sure to have a lot of Hefty Furnace Pots on you if you want to acquire these items fast.
