Fingerprint Stone Shield Location

Found in the Secret Area Behind the Cathedral of the Forsaken

Subterranean Shunning-Grounds Guide

How to Get the Fingerprint Stone Shield

1
Once you've found your way to the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, climb down the ladder and enter the first room to your left where you can activate the Underground Roadside site of grace.
2
Go back to the hallway and stick to the left wall. You should find a hole on the floor a few steps to the north.
3
Drop down to this rat-infested sewer and take the first turn to the northeast.
4
This tunnel maze is tricky, so make sure to follow the directions and try not to fall into the holes.

Follow the tunnel and jump over the first hole that you run into, just past the cornucopia of slugs.
5
Keep following the tunnel, ignoring the path on your left, then jump over the hole immediately after going up the slope.
6
Turn right through the open gate that you see at the fork.
7
Follow the path until you reach a small room with an Omen coming down from above the ladder.
8
Climb up the ladder and pull the lever to your right to open a shortcut back to the Underground Roadside site of grace.
9
Open the door past the two Omens and look down on your left. Carefully drop down onto the platform below and go down the stairs.
10
Turn right at the bottom of the stairs and follow the path to a room with a ladder. Ignore this ladder and go through the path to the right of the stairs instead where you'll enter another tunnel.
11
If this is your first time here, this path will be linear as the other path leads to a door you can't open from this side. At the end is a room with another Omen.
12
The next room after climbing the ladder has a wooden bridge with a closed door at the other side. Open it first to create another shortcut back to the Underground Roadside site of grace.
13
From the site of grace, return to the previous room and jump on the pipe to your right. Follow it up, taking a sharp turn to the right, until you reach the wooden square platform with a stone imp.
14
Jump down to your left and enter the doorway northeast. Be wary of surprise imp attack.
15
Kick the ladder on your left to create a shortcut through the Omen room from earlier then jump into the pipe hole on your right.
16
Follow the tunnel southeast and turn left immediately at the fork. Drop down the first hole that you come across and immediately dodge to avoid getting backstabbed.
17
Make for the ladder at the end of the downward slope and climb down to a room with jars. Ride the elevator on your right to arrive at the Forsaken Depths site of grace.
18
Move a couple of rooms ahead and defeat Mohg, the Omen in the Catherdral of the Forsaken.

After the fight, make sure to claim the Erdtree Favor +1 from the chest and touch the site of grace, then attack or roll into the altar behind the chest to reveal a hidden path further into the dungeon.
19
Get ready for some platforming in the next room.

Walk to the center of the wooden beam then drop down the other beam below. Go to the southwest end of the beam and jump down the platform on the south corner of the room. The platform is a bit hard to spot from above so just gotta trust us on this.
20
Carefully drop down the next platform below, then jump two platforms to the north. You should end up on another corner tombstone.
21
Look to the east and perform a quick running jump onto the platform that you see. This is a hard jump as it's on the same level as the platform you're on and there's not much room to run on. You can try running in a very small circle before propelling yourself to the next platform.

Once you've got it, drop down the platform below and onto the middle platform southeast.
22
Carefully drop down the platform below, down the other to the east, and onto the last platform below with the hanging corpse.
23
Turn right and pick up the Fingerprint Stone Shield at the end, guarded by an enemy.

Barricade Shield is for those who prefer to boost its defensive capabilities as it increases the shield's guard boost and you can add another layer to its defense with Scholar's Shield.
