How to Use Nightrider Flail

Scales with Dexterity and Strength

The Nightrider Flail scales mainly with Dexterity and has a low Strength requirement to wield. It is a good weapon for Dexterity or Bleed build players looking for a high damaging weapon that can punch through shields and break Poise.

The Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom can further increase the damage of your attacks by raising your Dexterity.

Has a Passive Blood Loss Buildup

Like the Flail, this weapon has slow normal and strong attacks, but it makes up for it with a higher damage output Strikes with the Nightrider Flail cannot be parried and won't bounce off shields or certain enemies. Attacking with this weapon causes blood loss buildup and once the meter is filled it will inflict Hemorrhage. Enemies affected by this status effect will take a large amount of damage relative to their Max HP.

The talisman Lord of Blood's Exultation and headwear White Mask will both increase the damage of your physical attacks when Hemorrhage is applied either to you or nearby enemies.

Infusable with Ashes of War

This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War and has Spinning Chain as its default weapon skill. When activated spins the striking part of the weapon to attack, it will deal constant damage while spinning. This skill can be followed up or chained with either a normal or strong attack.

Since this skill allows you to land successive attacks, the talisman Winged Sword Insignia can increase your damage output.
