Listen for Banzai's Distress Call in Burnt Forest
Enter the Burnt Forest region to receive the distress call from Banzai. You will learn that he is being held captive in the Old Mine in the Red Forest region.
This doesn't happen in a specific location, so just head to the Burnt Forest and walk around until you hear the distress call. The quest is unlockable for those who can already freely explore the open world of the game.
Head to the Old Mine in Red Forest
As mentioned in Banzai's distress call, head to the Old Mine in the Red Forest region to save Banzai. Prepare for a shoot out as there will be enemies guarding the entrance to the mine.
Go inside and find Banzai in one of the cells to rescue him. You will then get the Dark as a Dungeon quest once you rescue him.
