Send a grappling claw out to grab an enemy and pull it toward Clive. Grappling heavier enemies will launch Clive into the air.

Deadly Embrace is unlocked by gaining the power of Garuda during the quest, Wings of Change. You may need to complete or encounter a certain story section in order to unlock this ability.

Pull Enemies Closer

Use Deadly Embrace to target and grab an enemy towards Clive before starting a combo. If used on a larger enemy, you can alternatively make your character close in on the opponent to attack.

Takedown Stronger Foes

Reducing the Will gauge of a boss or a formidable foe to 50% partially staggers them for a few seconds. During this window, you can use Deadly Embrace to execute a Deadly Takedown and keep them immobilized for longer.

Unlock Fatal Attraction Trophy Achievement

Fatal Attraction Bronze Trophy
FF16 - Silver Trophy Defeat 5 enemies in the air after using Deadly Embrace (excluding battles in Hall of Virtue).

Defeating five opponents in midair after using Deadly Embrace unlocks the Fatal Attraction trophy achievement. Try to weaken the enemy first before pulling them with this ability then cast Wicked Wheel and Gouge to finish them off in midair.
