Recommended Level for Abductor Virgin (Swinging Sickle)

Recommended Level Level 2

We recommend fighting the Abductor Virgin (Swinging Sickle) at Level 2 for a standard difficulty experience, and can usually be defeated quickly even on Day 1. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at Level 1.

Wait for Its Spinning Attack to End for Melee Characters

Unless you're playing a ranged character like Ironeye or Recluse, it's extremely difficult to land hits on the Abductor Virgin during its spinning attack without getting repeatedly struck by the spinning sickles.

It's best to wait patiently for the move to end before moving back in for melee strikes, or hit it with ranged attacks instead.

Avoid Its Grab Attack

Aside from the spinning move, its grab is one of its most dangerous attacks. It deals massive damage and can be fatal for lower-level or less tanky characters unless the boss is staggered mid-animation.

To avoid it, when the Abductor Virgin opens its cage and extends its grabbing arms, avoid dodging too early since the actual grab has a delayed timing. Wait about half a second after the arms come out, then dodge to evade the grab cleanly.

It's easy to panic and dodge as soon as the arms appear, but that’s exactly what the move is designed to bait.
