We recommend fighting Battlemages at Level 5 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.

Battlemages Wear Pointed Hoods

The Battlemages are a pair of mages found in the Ruins, each located in separate areas. They wear identical black robes, similar to other masked mage mobs, which can make them hard to identify. Look for the pointed hoods and in the larger sections of the Ruins to find them.

The Melee Mage Is Slow and Predictable

One of the Battlemages uses a club for melee attacks. Thankfully, the boss moves slowly and its strikes are heavily telegraphed, making it easy to dodge and counter. Have a melee fighter face this boss to take it down efficiently.

Meanwhile, the other Battlemage can summon magic projectiles and shoot them at players. Use a ranged character like Ironeye or Recluse to close the gap and deal damage from a distance.
