Wylder
- Passive Ability: Sixth Sense
- Character Skill: Claw Shot
- Ultimate Ability: Onslaught Stake
The Wylder is the jack of all trades thanks to his ability to use a variety of weapons, giving him a very flexible playstyle. His Passive Ability allows you to cheat death once, while his Character Skill lets you use a Claw Shot to grab smaller enemies toward you, or pull yourself toward bigger enemies.
Lastly, his Ultimate Art lets you charge up a powerful Onslaught Stake that can stagger even the biggest of enemies.
Wylder Best Builds and Weapons
Guardian
- Passive Ability: Steel Guard
- Character Skill: Whirlwind
- Ultimate Ability: Wings of Salvation
The Guardian prioritizes defense above all, and can block even the most powerful attacks with his large shield and his Passive Ability Steel Guard. While in Steel Guard, the Guardian enters a guard stance that lets him block even the most powerful of attacks as long as he has the Stamina to maintain it.
His Skill, Whirlwind, can knock small enemies into the air, while also deflecting light projectiles like arrows. Last is his Ultimate Art: Wings of Salvation. Upon using Wings of Salvation, the Guardian will jump into the sky and dive down, dealing damage to enemies it hits while protecting any nearby allies from damage. Additionally,any downed ally will immediately stand up when hit with this skill.
Guardian Best Build and Weapons
Duchess
- Passive Ability: Magnificent Poise
- Character Skill: Restage
- Ultimate Ability: Finale
A master of hit-and-run and stealth tactics, the Duchess excels in dodging and weaving between enemy attacks with the help of her Passive Ability Magnificent Poise, which reduces the Stamina Cost of her dodges. It also reduces the Stamina Cost of her attacks, letting her attack more frequently.
Her Character Skill, Restage, is powerful as it reapplies any damage dealt to enemies during the last few seconds. Lastly, her Ultimate Art, Finale, makes her allies invisible, giving them the opportunity to relocate or perform backstab attacks.
Duchess Best Build and Weapons
Duchess is an Unlockable Character
You can unlock the Duchess by finding the Old Pocketwatch during your runs and giving it to the Hooded Figure. You do not need to beat the Nightlord to receive the Old Pocketwatch.
Recluse
- Passive Ability: Elemental Defense
- Character Skill: Magic Cocktail
- Ultimate Ability: Soulblood Song
The Recluse is a magic-user that can collect elemental residues from enemies to recover FP with her Passive Skill Elemental Defense, as well as to cast a variety of spells with her Character Skill Magic Cocktail. The effects of Magic Cocktail will change based on the types of elemental residue that the Recluse has when casting it.
Her Ultimate Art, Soulblood Song, marks all nearby enemies with a Blood Sigil. Whenever players attack an enemy with a Blood Sigil, they will recover HP and FP.

Ironeye
- Passive Ability: Eagle Eye
- Character Skill: Marking
- Ultimate Ability: Single Shot
Ironeye is a ranged specialist, capable of dealing large amounts of damage without having to get close to the enemy. Not only that, but he can support the team with his Passive Ability, Eagle Eye, which increases enemy drops.
His Character Skill, Marking, lets them mark enemies, which will create a temporary weak point that everyone in the party can attack. Additionally, his Ultimate Art, Single Shot, has Ironeye shoot a special arrow that can hit multiple enemies and pierce defenses.
Ironeye Best Build and Weapons
Raider
- Passive Ability: Fighter's Resolve
- Character Skill: Retaliate
- Ultimate Ability: Totem Stela
Raider is a berserker capable of sticking close to the enemy to deal huge amounts of damage with large weapons. His Character Skill, Retaliate, can damage stagger enemies, and is empowered when you are hit while doing it. This, partnered with his Passive Ability Fighter's Resolve, which makes the Raider immune to knockdowns while using Retaliate, makes him a powerful frontliner.
Although a mainly offensive character, the Raider can still provide some support to his team with his Ultimate Art Totem Stela, which summons a giant tombstone that can damage enemies. Additionally, allies who stay near the tombstone receive powerful buffs, while the tombstone itself can be used as a platform, putting you out of reach from enemy attacks.
Raider Best Build and Weapons
Executor
- Passive Ability: Tenacity
- Character Skill: Cursed Sword (Suncatcher)
- Ultimate Ability: Aspects of the Crucible: Beast
Executor is a parry-focused character, capable of parrying even the strongest enemy attacks and unleashing a powerful counterattack after. His Passive Ability, Tenacity, increases his stats whenever he recovers from a status ailment. Cursed Sword, his Character Skill, lets him draw a special sword that can parry enemy attacks. Once enough attacks are parried, the sword reveals its true form, giving Executor access to a powerful counterattack.
His Ultimate Art, Aspects of the Crucible: Beast, lets him transform into a primordial beast for a short time, giving him access to a new set of powerful attacks.
Executor Best Build and Weapons
Revenant
- Passive Ability: Necromancy
- Character Skill: Summon Spirit
- Ultimate Ability: Immortal March
The Revenant is a summoner character, capable of bringing forth powerful summons to even out the battlefield. Her Passive Ability, Necromancy, gives her a chance to revive defeated enemies as temporary allies. These revived enemies have the appearance of summons.
Her Character Skill, Summon Spirit, lets her summon one of three souls to help in battle, ranging from a small sword-wielding skeleton to a giant skeleton. Her Ultimate Art, Immortal March, temporarily makes her entire team invincible, while also reviving nearby downed allies.

Revenant is an Unlockable Character
You can unlock the Revenant by buying the Besmirched Frame from the Small Jar Bazaar and interacting with the Phantom Girl. Defeat the Night Idol in the ensuing fight to unlock Revenant.
Scholar
- Passive Ability: Bagcraft
- Character Skill: Analyze
- Ultimate Ability: Communion
The Scholar is a support character, applying debuffs on enemies while buffing and healing allies. His Passive Ability, Bagcraft, allows him to carry more items, while also enhancing said items whenever he uses them.
His Character Skill, Analyze, lets him study his enemies to apply debuffs, or examine allies to apply buffs. His Ultimate Art, Communion, temporarily links enemies, spreading the damage dealt from one enemy to all other linked enemies. This also shares healing across allies.
Scholar How to Play, Information, and Abilities
Scholar is an Unlockable Character
You can unlock the Scholar by buying the Forsaken Hollows DLC and beating the Tricephalos.
Undertaker
- Passive Ability: Confluence
- Character Skill: Trance
- Ultimate Ability: Loathsome Hex
The Undetaker is an offense character, dealing continuous bursts of damage to her enemies. Her Passive Ability, Confluence, gives her the ability to cast her Ultimate Ability for free whenever a nearby ally uses their own Ultimate Ability.
Her Character Skill, Trance, applies a buff on her that improves her combat capabilities. Her Ultimate Art, Loathsome Hex, allows her to fly towards her target, dealing damage on impact.

Undertaker is an Unlockable Character
You can unlock the Scholar by buying the Forsaken Hollows DLC and beating the Tricephalos.
How to Change Characters in Elden Ring Nightreign
Interact with the Bell
Inside the Roundtable Hold is a bell beside a suit of armor, near the round table. Interacting with this bell allows you to change your active character between all those you have already unlocked.
