Elden Ring Nightreign - Oldest Gaol Guide

The Oldest Gaol has a low chance of appearing whenever you open the Evergaol using a Stonesword Key. Read on to find out how to find the Oldest Gaol and its rewards.

How to Find the Oldest Gaol

Use a Stonesword Key to Open the Evergaol

Open the Evergaol

Stonesword Keys are used to open Evergaols in order to challenge the boss inside. If you have a Stonesword Key in your inventory, simply interact with the Imp Statue next to the Evergaol to open it and free the boss.

How to Get Stonesword Keys

No Difference From Other Evergaols

Evergaols are randomly divided into three difficulties: Easy, Medium, and Difficult. The Oldest Gaol is the most difficult type of Evergaol.

The Oldest Evergaol has a low probability of appearing whenever you use a Stonesword Key at the Evergaol. There are no other special conditions, and it can occur even at a low level immediately after the start of the first day.

Keep opening Evergaols to increase your chance of finding the Oldest Gaol.

Defeat the Boss That Appears

When the Oldest Gaol is opened, a different field boss outside of the normal Evergaol bosses will spawn. The Old Gaol trophy can be obtained by defeating the field boss that appears. Be careful though, as the Oldest Gaol field bosses are more difficult than the normal Evergaol bosses.

Our team was able to acquire the trophy by defeating the Ancient Dragon. We are working to find out which other bosses count towards this achievement.

The Old Gaol trophy will be achieved when you clear the Oldest Gaol.

30,000 Runes of the Strong

30000 Runes of the Strong

When you clear the Oldest Gaol, you will get a golden Dormant Power drop where you can choose 30,000 Runes of the Strong. Runes of the Strong that drop in other Evergaols are either 10,000 or 20,000 runes, so you can get more runes when you clear the Oldest Gaol.
