Best Solo Class in Nightreign
Wylder is the Best When Going Solo
Out of the 8 original Nightfarers and the 2 DLC characters, Wylder is still the best option when playing solo due to his high mobility and survivability and his amazing damage output.
His mobility comes from his Character Skill Claw Shot, which allows him to quickly close distances, be it toward enemies or away from them. His Passive Ability, Sixth Sense, adds to his survivability, as it gives him a way out from dangerous situations.
Finally, his Ultimate Art Onslaught Stake, as well as his ability to use most weapons, lets him deal large amounts of damage to any enemy, big or small.

Raider is a Good Alternative
Alternatively, you can also choose to run Raider when running solo for all the same reasons as Wylder, albeit with less mobility.
His Passive Ability Fighter's Resolve, as well as his Character Skill Retaliate lets him tank enemy attacks while taking reduced damage. Not only that, but getting hit while performing Retaliate also empowers the damage it deals.
His Ultimate Art, Totem Stela, creates a large platform that can block enemy attacks, giving you space to heal up if needed. Additionally, it also provides buffs if you stay near it, further helping in the battlefield.
Are DLC Characters Good for Solo?
No, Since Both Character Kits Rely on Having a Team
Unfortunately, both Undertaker and Scholar are underwhelming when played solo since their kits only shine when playing with a squad. Once solo, Undertaker's Confluence passive won't have a chance to activate, meaning no free ult uses for her.
Similarly, Scholar suffers since his kit caters to helping out the team, something you won't be able to take full advantage of when playing solo. While he may be serviceable for veteran players, new players trying out solo will struggle.
