Chapter 2: Vanquish Night-Tainted Foes (Night-Swallowed Golden Hippopotamus)

| 1 |  After accepting the remembrance quest from your journal, you'll need to talk to the Iron Menial in the far western room with the fireplace. The Iron Menial will suspect that the Recluse has ulterior motives and asks her to vanquish night-tainted foes in Limveld and take evidence of the deed. |
| 2 |  Go on any expedition and an objective will appear on the northeastern part of the map opposite of where you spawn. We recommend quickly running to the Spectral Hawk Tree on the southeastern part of the map to take you to the objective area. Approach the area and prepare to fight a boss. |
| 3 |  A Night-Swallowed Golden Hippopotamus will emerge from the center of the area. You'll need to defeat this world boss to progress Recluse's quest. While intimidating, the boss has very obvious attack patterns and it's easy to dodge its swipes and bites. Keep your distance and make sure you use your Magic Cocktail skill to deal burst damage against the boss. |
| 4 |  Defeating the boss will reward you a Night Shard which is the proof you'll need to bring to the Iron Menial back at the Roundtable Hold. Complete or fail your current expedition so that you can return to the Roundtable Hold and progress the quest. |
| 5 |  Speak to the Iron Menial and show him the Night Shard as proof of the Recluse's cooperation. Speak with him again and the Recluse will ask a favor to search for someone. Offer the Night Shard and the Iron Menial will agree to investigate. |
| 6 |  A ghostly spring will appear next to the Iron Menial after speaking with him. Interact with it to conclude the remembrance and you'll receive the Recluse's Chalice as a reward. |
Chapter 4: Obtain the Vestige of Night

| 1 |  Defeat more Nighhtlords until you get another Memory Fragment. Accept the Chapter 4 Remembrance quest and read the note in front of you which details how the Night Shard appears to be pointing at something. Make your way to the western room where the Small Jar Bazaar is located and speak with the Iron Menial nearby. Speak with him again and ask to take the Night Shard back and you'll receive the Night Shard key item again. |
| 2 |  Make your way to the opposite side of the Roundtable Hold on the eastern side and inspect the bed that's exuding a dark aura and you'll receive a Vestige of Night. The screen will fade to black afterwhich you're prompted to show the Vestige of Night to the Iron Menial. |
| 3 |  A ghostly spring will appear close to the Iron Menial after giving him the Vestige of Night. Interact with it to conclude the remembrance and you'll receive the Vestige of Night relic which grants +2 Magic Attack Power Up and the grants the Terra Magica effect when collecting affinity residues. |
Chapter 6: Obtain the Bone-Like Stone

| 1 |  Defeat a total of 4 different Nightlords to get your next Memory Fragment and go to your Journal to accept the next Remembrance quest Make your way to the Sparring Grounds and speak to the Iron Menial. He will not offer any other dialogue, so attack the Iron Menial to reveal the imposter, the Witch of the Wheel. |
| 2 |  Speak to the Witch of the Wheel and she'll reveal some cryptic information about the Recluse. Ask her about her resurrection and then speak with her again and she'll direct you to go to the Roundtable Hold's mausoleum. |
| 3 |  Make your way to the room where the Small Jar Bazaar is located and then head down the stairs to right. Once at the ground level, turn around to face the stairs. There is another set of stairs which leads to the mausoleum. |
| 4 |  Make your way to the back area of the mausoleum and interact with the Iron Menial and recalibrate him. Speak to him to explain the situation with the impostor. He'll then offer his thanks and give you a Bone-Like Stone. |
| 5 |  A ghostly spring will appear close to the Iron Menial after you receive the Bone-Like Stone. Interact with it to conclude the Remembrance and you'll receive the Bone-Like Stone relic. This relic increases the Recluse's HP and Attack Power while using an Ultimate Art, but also causes her to suffer blood loss. |
Chapter 8: Interact with the Infant During the Ending Sequence

| 1 |  To progress Recluse's Remembrance Quest, you need to defeat the Night Aspect final boss. |
| 2 |  After a short cutscene, you'll arrive at a ruined Rountable Hold. Head inside and make your way to the center of the hold. You'll hear the sounds of a baby crying as you approach the table with the large site of grace.  Note: Do not interact with the corpse north of the the table as this will end the game without progressing the Recluse's remembrance quest. If you interact with the corpse, you'll need to defeat the final boss again! |
| 3 |  From the center of the hold, turn right into the hallway and make your way to the beds where you first obtained the Vestige of Night key item. Interact with the infant on the bed and the Recluse will cradle it, ending the game. |
| 4 |  After the credits roll, make your way to the same area where you cradled the infant and the Witch of the Wheel will be there. Speak to her and she'll thank you before fading away, leaving her clothes behind. Interact with her clothes to receive the Recluse's Remembrance Garb as a reward for completing the Recluse's Remembrance Quest. ▶︎ List of All Recluse Skins |
How to Unlock Recluse's Remembrances

The Recluse's remembrance quests are unlocked by progressing her journal entries. Entries are added after completing certain objectives during an expedition or by completing the previous remembrance quest.
Note: Some journal chapters don't have a remembrance quest and only offer lore or backstory.

Recluse Remembrance Skin
The Recluse Remembrance skin becomes available after completing the fourth Remembrance quest. You can change outfits at any time by choosing the "Change Garb" option in the shortcut menu while in the Roundtable Hold.

Anonymous 6 monthsGenerally speaking, if you ever get stuck between remembrances with no clear method of advancing them, you just need to do a run or two with that character to advance the journal. You don't even need to win, but finishing a run will unlock "memory fragments" in a random order based on who's advancements are possible to unlock at that time.
