Forts are random treasure sites in Elden Ring Nightreign, filled with enemies, bosses, and rewards like runes, relics, and Stonesword Keys. Use this guide to learn their purpose, locations, and loot.

Forts Locations
Forts Spawn Randomly
Forts appear in random locations each expedition. These tall, enemy-filled structures often contain a boss at the top that drops loot, relics, and sometimes a Stonesword Key for Evergaols.
We recommend Exploring Forts on day 1 for easy rune farming, early levels, and uncommon loot. Forts will always have a clue that you can examine inside its tower. When examined, it reveals locations of Scarabs and Buried Treasure.

Fight Bosses
After entering the Fort, you'll encounter a random boss, such as the Abductor Virgin (Swinging Sickle), Crystalian, Guardian Golem, Lordsworn Captain. These bosses are relatively easy to defeat and will drop loot or relics upon defeat.

 Chest is on the first floor floor of the fort (after you enter from the basement). |

 Chest is on the battlements. If you fought the captain boss, it'll be right behind him. |
Forts will have a lot of chests that you can loot for consumables. However, make sure to always look for the special textured chests since these have a high chance of dropping Stonesword Keys.
Note: In Forts with a Crystalian or Guardian Golem, the chest will be on the second floor. If the boss is an Abductor Virgin or Lordsworn Captain, then the chest will be at the top of the fort, near the .
Loot Glintstone Staff Rack
You can find a Glintstone Staff Rack on the upper floors of Forts. It will be next to the Locale Clue Table. Interact with the rack to receive 2 randomly selected Glintstone Staves. This is beneficial when playing as the Reculse.
Reveal Buried Treasure and Scarabs Using Forts
Interacting with the Locale Clue Table at the top of Forts reveals the locations of both Buried Treasure and Scarabs on the map. However, you can still find and access them even if their locations haven’t been revealed yet.
