For Ironeye, we recommend the Harp Bow thanks to its speedy capability to unleash arrows compared to other bows, meaning it is able to easily repeat multiple bow shots against targets. The Barrage skill allows for faster shooting perfect for early game.
Alternatively, if the player is unable to find the Harp Bow in their runs, the player can still use the regular Ironeye's Bow until the second night as it is still effective and scales high on Dexterity, fitting for Ironeye.
Should the player get through the first night, Ironeye can switch between bows they find in the overworld. The Horn Bow is a good switch-around to allow both elemental damage and physical damage against enemies.
The player can equip another upgraded Bow with the Serpent Bow being best due to having an extra elemental option for late-game. Its hybrid Physical and Poison application pairs well with the other bows in this build.

|
Ironeye is best played with passives that improve on the character's ranged damage or improving the damage profile of the weapon with elemental attributes or status afflictions.
The player can also give Ironeye some HP Restoration passives which benefits from his fast attack speed and pair with utility passives to improve Ironeye's aggro avoidance or his Eagle Eye skill.
These recommended passives can be mixed-and-matched to provide the best setup that the class can benefit from should they be able to find weapons that have the passive effects.
Weapon Passives Will Still Apply Even if Not Using Them
Weapon passives apply as long as the weapon is in your inventory, even if you're not actively using it. Exceptions to this rule are weapons that have a hand icon on their passives. These weapons must be equipped for the passives to take effect.
Be sure to fill your inventory with useful passives, even from random weapons you won't use, if the effect suits the build so you don't waste an inventory slot.

For Ironeye's Relics, the Edge of Order is their best relic due to its effects being perfect for the class. Not only does Ironeye gain Holy Damage at the start, they also have increased bow attack and art damage when performing their arrow stab. Should the relic still be locked, the player can use Cracked Sealing Wax for the meantime with its enhanced weakpoint effect.
The player can then focus on getting either the Night of the Beast. providing stamina recovery on attack or a regular Grand Tranquil Scene to either pick up dexterity buffs or status effect upgrades.
Finally, pick up a Grand Burning Scene with preferable effects including status afflictions like Frost or Scarlet Rot, stamina recovery or raw dexterity increases.
Alternatively, if the player is going for the randomized relic sets, look for preferable effects such as increased attack when using greases, improved standard attack and raw increases in fire, physical or holy damage. Damage negation is also good for the Ironeye to increase his survivability.
Additionally, the Grand Burning Scene for Ironeye from the Collector Signboard is a good alternative, as it applies Poison to Ironeye's Ultimate, while also increasing his damage to poisoned enemies. It also helps him charge his Ultimate Art faster.

The Ironeye's main weapons are bows that primarily deal Physical damage with affinity elements being added later. It is best to get damage increases to Physical and Affinity Attack to improve their damage.
The Ironeye's extremely low Health makes him vulnerable to being downed. It is best to improve his survivability by utilizing HP-related Dormant Powers. Ironeye can also use stamina upgrades to unleash more arrows against targets or revive downed teammates faster while also improving dodges.
Ironeye can also benefit from the enhanced healing utility of Gradual Healing from Flask or Improved Healing Flask power, increasing his survivability against damage over time effects such as Scarlet Rot.

The Ironeye must carry greases to boost arrows and apply effects to targets from a distance be it by causing Holy Damage or applying Poison. Having items that increase physical attack will also help Ironeye's physical bow damage.
Recovery-wise, the Ironeye should carry some consumable Pickled Turtle Necks for recovering stamina used to dodge in dangerous situations or to revive allies. Wending Grace allows Ironeye to stand one more time should they fall.

Using the Arrow's Reach Talisman fixes the main problem Ironeye users have when taking advantage of his range, which is damage drop-off. This talisman basically reduces the dropoff effect by 100%, making his ranged shots better.
Millicent's Prosthesis provides a good increase to Dexterity and provides extra attack power with the Ironeye's consecutive shots.

Keep Your Distance From Enemies
The player playing Ironeye must be spatially aware of their surroundings and know when to keep distance to targets.
Ironeye's skills are designed to keep enemies away. Marking lets you dash through enemies and keep your distance from them, while Single Shot knocks enemies back and is more effective if you are far from the target as it can hit more enemies.
Revive Teammates From Afar
Ironeye allows for ranged reviving by shooting downed nightfarers with their bow and arrow. Due to the infinite supply of arrows the players have, Ironeye users can take advantage of being at a safer distance while reviving teammates.
Do remember still that bow attacks still cost stamina or magic and the player must be aware of their surroundings before attempting to heal party members to avoid being cornered by enemies while having critical stamina.
How to Revive and Rescue Allies
Use Marking As Often As Possible
Ironeye's Marking has a relatively short cooldown, so use it as much as possible to keep the temporary weak point active. This will help the entire team deal more damage, so reapply the weak point as often as possible.
Use Single Shot Against Groups Of Enemies
Single Shot not only deals massive damage to its target, but it also deals additional damage to any enemy along its flight path, even if they don't get hit by the initial arrow.
This makes it the perfect skill to use against groups of enemies, quickly dispatching them or at least dealing a lot of damage to them.
Be Aware of the Party's Surroundings
The Ironeye, serving as the party's support must be aware of their party's conditions and statuses as they are responsible for supporting the squad.
Having an Ironeye in the party increases the quality-of-life experience of an expedition but also requires more mastery of the class.

Ironeye is one of the most flexible and adaptable characters in the game, with a focus on utility, support and ranged attacks. Ironeye will be able to support the roster with their utility and practical skillset.
Despite this however, playing this class has some tradeoffs, including a squishy health pool, necessary increased awareness and lacking damage options.
Ironeye Abilities
Ironeye Passive Ability - Eagle Eye

Ironeye's Passive Ability, Eagle Eye, increases the item drops of enemies. This buff is applied to your entire team, making it easier for everyone to potentially find the items that they need.
Ironeye Character Skill - Marking
Marking - Marks enemies to create a temporary weak point. |
Ironeye's Character Skill, Marking Shot, is a melee attack that creates a temporary weak point on enemies. This increases the team's overall damage output, as enemies take increased damage when their weak point is hit.
Additionally, using Marking makes Ironeye dash through enemies, making this skill a perfect disengage or repositioning tool for Ironeye.

Ironeye's Ultimate Art, Single Shot, has Ironeye prepare a massive bow that shoots a powerful arrow at a target. This shot not only pierces defenses, but it also deals delayed damage and knockback along its flight path, making it useful against large groups of enemies.
The Ironeye is also invulnerable during the windup animation, use it to nullify attacks and avoid hits.
