Take on Caligo After Defeating Gladius
After defeating Gladius, Beast of Night, new Nightlords become available for you to defeat in Expeditions. We recommend taking on Caligo, Miasma of Night next, as the Night of the Beast Relic from Gladius is effective against the boss.
Night of the Beast lets your starting armament deal Fire damage, which Caligo is weak against. Gnoster in the Sentient Pest expedition is also an option but requires way more team coordination.
Adel is Easier Compared to the Others
Adel, Baron of Night from the Gaping Jaw expedition is also a good early Nightlord to take on compared to the other ones especially if you get your hands on some Poison armaments during the run.
You might not be able to get him the first time but succeeding runs will get better after you've seen the fight.
The Remaining Nightlords Are Up To You
Once you've defeated your first few Nightlords, the rest of them will be up to you. Make use of the new relics you've unlocked and even the new Shifting Earths available to your advantage when choosing which Nightlord to fight.

The completion rate can give you an idea of which bosses are easier or more manageable. Just be warned of spoilers when viewing Hidden Trophies.

Tricephalos (Gladius, Beast of Night)

As a first things first measure, you are required to beat Gladius in order to access the rest of the bosses, serving as the baseline for most of the Nightlords.
In terms of the fight itself, while Gladius may come off as a difficult opponent for first-timers. However, Nightfarers can quickly adjust to him and his more straightforward fighting style after a few runs and some good relics.

Gaping Jaw (Adel, Baron of Night)

Adel, the Nightlord for the Gaping Jaw expedition, can be considered easy compared to the other bosses after you encounter him the first time. You'll quickly learn that the most dangerous moves are his grab attack and the slam attack that creates fissures across the field.
As long as you can consistently dodge the grab attack from Adel while attacking directly under him, you'll have a good chance of defeating him. For the slam attack, get as far as you can when purple lightning starts to show to get out of the danger area.

Despite being at the bottom of the list of expeditions, Caligo can be done more easily compared to the rest of the bosses once you figure out what to do during the fight.
Position yourself under Caligo to attack him safely, you'll just have to watch out for his swipe attacks and ground-targeted breath attack which can be easily dodged. Caligo also tends to fly away and create distance between you, strafe left as you approach him and be sure to dodge the long-ranged tail slams.
Augur (Maris, Fathom of Night)

Maris can be a hard boss to fight unless your team composition has a lot of ranged attacks available since he flies around a lot. Melee users will have a hard time during this fight and will have to be ever more patient.
The most important thing during the fight is to have some sort of stun or stagger available when Maris starts the move where it inflicts Sleep on everyone. You can interrupt this with most of the ultimate abilities.

Sentient Pest (Gnoster, Wisdom of Night)

Gnoster might be hard to deal with at first since the boss is essentially a Moth and a Scorpion together but once you and your team splits up and fights them separately away from each other, you'll have a much easier time. It does require team coordination which can be hard to find in matchmaking.
Ideally, a ranged attacker like an Ironeye or a Recluse should face the Moth alone while the other two keep the Scorpion busy. The Moth's attacks are easy to dodge but be careful of its grab attack. The Scorpion can be easily attacked in close quarters from behind.

With Libra's frequent madness procs, increased defense and poise with the shield, and the constant teleports, this makes it one of the harder Nightlords to square off against on an expedition.
The fight is further increased in difficulty by the scarcity of Frenzied Flame weapons and incantations to use against Libra.

Fulghor's swing attacks are relentless and hard to dodge even more so in his 2nd phase when he grows his missing arm. He also has a bunch of quick moves to gap-close and slam attacks which can be hard to react to.
Lightning damage is essential in this fight to reduce the amount of devastating AoE attacks going out and stun Fulghor momentarily to deal damage. In the 2nd phase, however, you'll need to be patient and find the right timings to attack him during his rampage.
