We recommend fighting Nox Dragonkin Soldier at Level 11 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.

During the first phase, Nox Dragonkin Soldier mostly attacks with its arms, making its lower half a safe zone from the boss' front strikes. One player can distract Nox Dragonkin Soldier from the front, while the others get behind the boss and hit its legs and feet.
With that said, whoever is facing Nox Dragonkin Soldier from the front should be careful from its deadly arm swing and palm slam attacks. Dodge sideways as soon as you see the boss' arms winding up.

Once Nox Dragonkin Soldier's HP is halved, the boss charges itself and triggers a lightning explosion that inflicts Frostbite. You can back away to avoid the blast or use your Ultimate Arts ability to cancel the explosion.
It's best to go with the latter and use your Ultimate Arts on Nox Dragonkin Soldier to deal critical damage and land additional hits at the start of the second phase.
How to Charge Your Ultimate Gauge
In phase two, Nox Dragonkin Soldier will start to deal Frostbite damage with its attacks. One of the boss' moves is that it flies and throws a lightning bolt on the ground, causing a trailing line of lightning strikes. The trail is cone-shaped, so dodge sideways as far as you can to avoid damage.

To counter Nox Dragonkin Soldier's Frostbite effects, try to obtain the All Resistances Up Dormant Power, which raises resistance to all ailments like Frostbite. All Resistances Up can be obtained after defeating a Night Boss, possibly during Night 1.
If you've already defeated Caligo, Night of the Miasma (Fissure in the Fog), you can also equip the Night of the Miasma Relic. It conceals yourself from nearby Frostbite and increases attack power when facing enemies inflicted with Frostbite.
Nox Dragonkin Soldier is one of the possible Night Bosses that appear at the end of the second night of an Expedition.
